Chloe went back downstairs for the third time that day. She woke up and the first thing she noticed was that Vivi was gone. At first she didn't think much of it, Vivi was known for sleeping in late in the weirdest places but after half an hour of not seeing her she began to worry. She searched the house from top to bottom hoping to find her huddled up in a corner, but with no luck.

Now all that mattered was finding the damn dragon.

Vivi? Vivi where are you? Vivi?

"Just call out to her, she's bound to answer." Emma said.

"I'm trying, but I can't hear her for some reason. I could always feel her presence but now it feels like I'm alone."

"I know what you mean," Emma said, "I can always feel Aeron here with me. Even if we're not speaking."

"This is bad, where do you think she went? I barely had her for a month and she's gone!" Chloe was on the verge of tears.

"Calm down, don't freak out yet. Go outside and check the yard, maybe she just went there for a bit and got locked out." Emma suggested. Chloe nearly ran to the front door and quickly went out into the yard. It wasn't really a yard but there was some space behind the house next to the stable. Opening the large door Chloe saw Aaron, who was asleep. Vivi however, was nowhere to be found. She hoped that Vivian would be somewhere in the stable because she was getting really big and could barely fit in the house.

Checking the backyard through the stable window Chloe groaned and went outside. She decided to call Eve, maybe she saw Vivi at some point. It would be highly unlikely but it was a possibility.

Dialling her number on her phone Chloe held her breath as it rang. But she didn't have to wait for long, Eve picked up almost immediately.

"Hey," She said.

"Oh god, Eve. Hey! Uh, I want to ask you, have you seen Vivi today?"

"Vivi? No, why?"

"No reason."

"You sound stressed, are you OK?"

"Peachy, I'm good." Chloe lied, panic rising in her chest.

"You don't sound fine, I'm coming over."

"No you don't-"

"I'll be right there." Eve said and hung up. Chloe cursed under her breath and put her phone away. Trying very hard not to panic she went back into the house.

"Did you find her?" Emma asked once Chloe was inside.

"No, but I called Eve and she said that she is coming over."

"Don't stress so much. Dragons are weird, she is probably sleeping in the pantry."

She knew that this was meant to be a joke but it didn't calm Chloe very well. She was still worried sick about her dragon. A few minutes later Eve came by and they spent the entire morning searching for Vivi. After looking everywhere in the house they went to places where Chloe remembered taking her, like the training course and arena. However they found nothing.

"Well that was a giant waste of time." Eve said as they walked back into the house. Chloe groaned and collapsed on the floor. Eve sat down next her. For a while none of them said anything, Chloe was mostly thinking about what a bad owner she was and how Vivi is probably lying dead somewhere in the forest. Eve was just thinking about how hungry she was and wondered when it would be a good time to bring up lunch. Oh yeah, and also the fact that Vivi was lost. That was clearly the main priority.

"We have to find her," Chloe said suddenly.

"What?" Eve looked at her.

"I don't know where she is but something is definitely wrong. If she was just lost then she would reach out to me. But because she isn't responding then it's something more serious."

Eve was quiet for a moment, she didn't know what to say to that but she knew that Chloe would probably come up with some crazy plan, and she needed to stop her before she did something insane.

"Try to reach her again, maybe this time she'll reply."

Chloe looked at her then nodded. She closed her eyes. Eve watched intently. Suddenly Chloe opened her eyes. Her breathing was quick and uneven and her face looked panicked.

"What is it?" Eve asked nervously.

"She's in trouble." Chloe said, "I could barely hear her but she said help. We need to find her." She got up and ran upstairs to her bedroom, with Eve trying to keep up. When she got there she saw Chloe packing a backpack.

"What do you think you're doing?" She cried grabbing the bag out of Chloe's hands. "What do you think you can just go and find her? You do to even know where she is! Now calm down and let's think of a solution."

At first Chloe didn't say anything, she just stood quietly and stared into space, as if she was lost in some deep thought. Then she snapped out of it and snatched the backpack out of Eve's hands.

"I may not know where she is, but I know her well enough to know that something is definitely wrong. I don't care what it takes but I am going to look for her, can you come with me?"

Eve opened her mouth to say something but then closed it again as if she changed her mind. "Are you insane?" She yelled suddenly, "What the hell got into you? You haven't seen your dragon for half a day and suddenly she is in danger! It's probably not that bad."

"You calm down," Said a voice from the doorway. The girls spun around to see Emma. "I have to side with Chloe here." She said quietly, "This is a very rare dragon. And it wouldn't come as a shock to me if somebody wanted to steal her. With dragons like these you have to be very careful about the people you associate yourself with. We have to find her before something bad happens."

"Yes!" Chloe yelled and hugged Emma. "Can you come with me?"

"Of course," She said laughing, "But what about Eve?"

Chloe looked at her best friend with hope in her eyes. She wanted for her to come but it might be dangerous and she would never forgive herself if anything happened to her.

"I want to," Eve said slowly, "But would we be allowed?"

"Even if we aren't we can always sneak out at night, the more adventure the better." Emma said. Chloe, laughed at that. She knew Emma always wanted to have more adventure in her life. It was in her blood.

"Well alright, but how are we going to find her exactly? How are we going to travel?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Emma asked with a slight smirk,"We fly."
