ch. 12: War

Tony waited all day if he'll receive the call and it finally rang. He took it so excited not even looking at screen.

"Steve?" he said.

"Pepper actually. Has he call?" she asked.

"No, not yet." Tony said depressed.

"Than I should hung up. He may call every moment. Call me after him, okay?" she said.

"Okay, bye." he said.

Tony asleep on sofa waiting for Steve's call. In 9 am phone finally rang. Tony wake up and answer it.

"Did I wake you up?" familiar voice said.

"Steeeve! I waited for your call all night." Tony said.

"We came in 10 am but in New York it was 3 am so I didn't want to wake you up." Steve said.

"You always think of everything." Tony said calmer than before.

"Did you eat something?" Steve asked worried for Tony.

"Don't worry about me. I will survive." Tony said jokingly.

"I should go now. Eat something and sleep, don't stay too much in lab. I'll call you later. Love you, bye." Steve said.

"Love you too, bye." Tony said happy that he is fine so he called Pepper and others.

One month later

Tony waited for Steve's call in usual hour. He called him every day in 11 pm which in NY was 4 pm. The phone rang and Tony pick up.

"Hello?" Tony said.

"From the other side." Steve sing Adele's song and both started laughing but Tony figured how much he missed him because he really was on the other side of the world.

"I miss you so much." Tony said in serious voice.

"I miss you too. I can't wait to see you, to feel your closeness, to... Tony you stole my heart." Steve whispered quietly.

"When are you coming?" Tony asked.

"I don't know. I have to go now. Call you tomorrow. Bye." Steve said and hung up.

Another month pass by. One day Steve didn't call and Tony almost die from worry. Another day he planned on yelling at Steve but couldn't when he heard his sweet voice and he missed him too much.

Steve told Tony they made him suit and named him Captain America. Tony hide that he almost die lately in fight in his Iron man suit. And he had now arc reactor.

17th May, 11 am

"He didn't call me yesterday." Tony said to Natasha.

"Don't worry. He will today." she said.

"I just want to go there and take him back here." Tony said.

8 pm

"He didn't call yet. This is second day. I'm out of mind." Tony said to Steve's sister Pepper.

"We worried last time like this but I'm sure he'll be fine. It's probably just a longer fight this time. Maybe they're ending war." Pepper said.

"I just need to hear his voice. To know he's fine. Just..." tear run from Tony's eye.

"It's okay. If something happened they would call us." Pepper said and hug Tony.

But he just wanted to be alone. "I'm going to take a nap." he said but it was a lie. He went to their bedroom and took Steve's shirt which he wear on Valentine's day. It has Steve's pleasant smell. He hug it and lay on bed. He fall asleep.
