ch. 22: Make love, not war

Flashback

Peter was done with this feeling of anxiety. His life was awful in last month. One person destroyed his happy family, took his father and later they find out he kill his grandparents. He can't live this. No one even noticed that he dissapeared from battle. He went to his room and cut his veins on wrists. Not the best way to do suicide. He screamed as it hurt and then fell unconscious. Tony, Pam and Pepper run in the room and find Peter laying in blood. Tony check his breathing and his heart still beat. They take him to emergency. Tony was desperate, he call Alex to come immediately. He don't want him to get hurt.

Now Alex was broken inside. He was furious. He didn't listen to Tony but instead went to look for Barnes.

When he finally find him he was pointing his gun at Steve.

"Kill me! Do it! Fucking kill me. I have no life." Steve yelled. "You destroyed my life." Steve said silently as he starts to bringing back his power, like the serum starts working again.

Alex was on ceiling and slowly approaching. He shot web on gun and took it. Barnes look up to saw someone in blue and red suit. Alex jump on him and he was on floor. Alex point gun at him and take off mask.

"You destroyed my life! You separete my family. You kill my grandparents and like that wasn't enough you took my papa. I almost lose my dad and sister or brother because of you." Alex was talking. When Steve heard sister or brother part he was confused.

"And for the end my brother is in hospital because of you. Go to hell!" Alex said and shot.

He was obviously dead and Alex stood there with gun in his hand. Steve jump and hug him.

"Papa..." Alex said.

"Alex." Steve hug him tight with tears in eyes.

"I'm killer." Alex said crying.

"You are not, honey." Steve kissed him. "Give me that!" Steve took gun.

"What will you do with that?" Alex asked.

"Admit killing him." Steve said.

"No, pops. You can't. Let's go to hospital and find dad. He will know what to do." Alex said.

"What happened to Peter? Why are they in hospital?" Steve asked.

"Long story... Short - Peter try to kill himself and he is in hospital now. Let's hurry up!" Alex said.

"Oh God, my baby! It's all my fault." Steve said.

"And dad is pregnant. I shouldn't tell you that but I still trust you." Alex said.

"What? How? Let's just go there!" Steve said and started panicking.

In hospital

Alex and Steve find Tony and Pepper hugged. Tony crying and Pam sitting there and talking on cellphone.

"Alex!" Tony leave Pepper and went to hug him tight and kiss him on cheek.

"Tony, where's Peter? Is he okay?" Steve said.

"It's all your fault! How dare you to..." Tony started but Alex interrupt him.

"Dad please, it's not place nor time. How is Peter?" Alex asked when doctor come.

"Mr. Stark?" doctor asked.

"Yeah, that's me. How is he?" Tony said.

"He is alive but..." doc said.

They all felt relief but there had to be but.

"...we don't know when or if he will wake up." doctor continue.

Tony sit on chair shaking and while Pepper try to calm him, Alex hug Steve crying.

After few hours they were still there. Alex sitting between Steve and Tony, with head lean on Tony's shoulder.

"Dad, I'm murderer." Alex said.

"What are you talking about, Alex?" Tony seemed like Alex has some theory of how this all is his fault.

"I kill Barnes. Please dad, do something. I don't want to go to jail." Alex started shaking.

"Alex I told you, I'm going to police I will confess murder." Steve said as he take out gun.

"Give me that." Tony said to Steve and took gun. "I'll solve everything, don't you worry, okay? Now go home with Nat and take some sleep." Tony said and kiss Alex's forehead.

As Steve and Tony stayed there alone and silence overcome the place Tony felt he had to break it.

"You still wear your wedding ring?" Tony said something between sentence and question.

"Yeah, sign of love, remember?" Steve said softly.

"I don't need sign of your love as long as you don't love me anymore." Tony said.

"I do! I love you Tony! Please forgive me. Everything I done, it wasn't my will..." Steve started but suddenly he had been kissed.

Tony kissed him long like for all that they missed last month.

"You are forgiven. We have to go through this together." Tony said.

Steve hug him tight.

"I just want Peter and Alex to be fine. The three of you are everything to me." Steve said.

"Four." Tony corrects him touching his belly. "I'm pregnant."

"I know, Alex told me. How is it possible?" Steve asked touching Tony's stomach.

"I don't know." Tony said. "But I'll protect that baby with all I have."

*Two weeks later*

Peter's still in coma. They were visiting him every day in hospital. Alex started visiting psychiatrist and Tony will get him bodyguard because he is in danger.
