It's a week before Christmas, and snow has been falling, and covering the ground in a white sheet. The snow made the trees look like something out of a snow globe.

While I've been gone, my mom has been either going to work, group and one on one therapy, or prison, to try to renew her relationship with my father. Let me just say, it has not gone well.

To be honest, I don't think their relationship can be saved. I mean, right after my dad was found guilty, my mom filed divorce papers. I know she's trying, but it's not going to happen.

All I know right now, is that my mom says that I might have to stay here over the summer, or maybe stay at Johanna's. I don't know, but I hope I can stay here. I mean, don't get me wrong, Johanna is my best friend, but I can't stand her younger brother.

To be honest, I'd rather stay here. I love it here! Who knew a school could be so awesome? In September, the twentieth to be specific, it was my birthday, and on the same day, I had sealed my place on the track team.

So that had gone well.

The bad part was that I had learned that Johanna had landed herself in the hospital with a broken leg, from trying to jump over a hurdle on my former school track team. Similar to what I said before, Johanna is my best friend, but she's a klutz.

Let me just say, she's probably the most likely out of the both of us to trip over her own feet. I mean, not like I'm much better. People at my old school used to call Johanna and I the "Klutz Twins," and trust me, we didn't get that nickname for no reason.

I'm not so sure about this, but maybe, just maybe I could be starting to leave my past.
