Smalls Pov:

"Hey, guys, sorry I'm late, My mom made me put on my jacket" I said

"Shut up!" Squints said

"and then she made me do the dishes." I Added

"Your poor little mommy made you do the big bad dishes." Yeah Yeah said

"Guys Where's the Girls." Benny Asked

"Why.....so you can kissy with Layla all day." Squints teased

"No....They said they were coming where are they..." Benny Said

Benny had falling hard for Layla and you could tell by when she's not around he's not happy or plays baseball till he sees her again... I only been around for some time but I've noticed how they couldn't be away from each other long enough to say they missed each other she was always at the sandlot and cheering on Benny but now it was like she was missing

"Yeah yeah where's your sister so Benny can stop whining." Ham asked

"I--- I dunno....She----was at home." Yeah Yeah said stuttering

Benny rolled his eyes and laid down guess he wasn't up for a story without Layla. I had just out what smores were and Squints began telling the legend about the beast and how the gate was build and how his great great great grandfather I think banned the beast from coming out for biting some kid

Layla's Pov:

"Guys we are late like super late." I told Mary and Martha

"How do you know." Martha asked

"Well because I heard Squints tell the story over a thousand times and he telling it now." I said rolling my eyes climbing up the tree

"Got an idea" Mary said

"Yeah what's that." I asked

"Shhh we should scare the boys." Mary said

"Ooooo I like." Martha said

"I do too... let's do it." I said

We began Growling like a dog and shaking the tree branches

Smalls Pov:

"It's the beast!!" Squints screamed

"Yeah yeah he comes to get us for all the baseballs." Yeah yeah

Everyone panic and was scared Squints and Ham were crying Tommy and Timmy were hugging me and Benny were back to back Denunez and Bertram had bats to hit the beast with yeah yeah was hugged up in a ball

Layla Pov:

"Ready to reveal ourselves." I said

"Yeah hehe." Martha and Mary said laughing

"Boo." we yelled and all the boys started to scream and then looked confused

"It was us you big babies." I said climbing in the window and so did Mary and Martha after me

"Not funny....." the boys said

"Yeah yeah.... Im telling mom." Yeah yeah said

"Okay." I said smiling

"Sorry we missed the story but Mary and Martha wanted to get pretty to see you dorks." I said sitting down next to benny kissing his cheek

Smalls Pov:

There it was the famous Benny smile it only showed when he was enjoying baseball or when Layla was in the room. Benny was the same again his happy old self I wish I find somebody like Benny and Layla I just believe they been together since 5th grade that's a long time

"Hi Smalls.. I'm Mary Layla friend." One of the girls said to me

"Hi----- ma--mar---Mary." I said jeez way to go Smalls I thought to myself

"Jeez these girls take up space where is everywhere going to sleep now." Ham said

"Ummm Layla can bunk with me..... Smalls can bunk with Mary and Denunez can bunk with Martha. That way we have more space" Benny said

I heard Layla giggle and so did her friends they knew something we boys didn't

Layla Pov:

It was official early in the morning but I could never sleep in this tree house it was too hot and too many bodies to sleep in there I walked out to the opening and looked up at the stars till I felt a pair of arms wrap around me and smelled his familiar scent it was Benny of course.

"What's Wrong." He asked with worry in his voice

"Benny you know I could never sleep in that tree since 5th grade because it's too crowded." I said turning around hugging him where his chin rested on my head

"Yeah... I remember 7th grade when you feel asleep on my shoulder out here that was the only way you would sleep." He said laughing

"Yeah the good days I remember." I said

".....Do you think high school will change us..." I asked looking down

He lifted my head and looked at me

"I don't think so." He said giving me a quick pecks and going back into the tree to grab Squints radio and some love song came on

"Can I have this dance Miss." Benny said

I nodded my head and wrapped my arms around him and we slow danced as I listened to daddy's home by Jermaine Jackson (song on the top don't mind the video) I finally looked at Benny his tan yet fair Latin American skin complexion and his black hair under his baseball cap his pink lips that I kissed everyday. I was in love with this boy and nothing was going to change that. I lean in and kissed his lips it was more of a passionate kiss that we shared and this was a moment I would never forget.........
