Smalls Pov:
I walking to Benny house too see if he left for the sandlot and see what we are going to do about my ball situation. I knocked on the door and arrived Mrs. Rodriguez came to the door.

"Hi Mrs. Rodriguez is Benny here?" I asked removing my hat

"Who?" She replied

"Benny...umm he's about this tall and has tan skin." I said I was really nervous she was intimidating me by staring me right in the eyes.

"I'm only joking sweetie Benjamin not here. Well he wasn't in his room maybe he's at the sandlot." She said smiling.

"Oh Okay thanks anyway." I said

I walked to the sandlot of course Benny would be early he lived and breathed baseball and the sandlot was the only place he could play. But I arrived I seen everyone but Benny.

"Hey smalls... You've seen either Benny or Layla?." Ham said

"No what's going on.?" I asked

"Well we got here and Benny wasn't here and he's always the first one here and yeah yeah said he went to wake his sister up but she wasn't there either." Squints said out of breath

"Maybe they were abducted?" Denuez said

"Nah they would be in the paper." Bertham said

"Maybe they ran away to get married." Timmy said

"Shut up Timmy they are only 15. Married at 15 I highly doubt that." Tommy said

"Well where are they?" Squints yelled

Layla Pov:

"Thanks for walking home to get some clothes and walking with me the sandlot.." I said to Benny

"It's fine and I don't want you walking home or to the sandlot by yourself." He said

Me and Benny left his house like early this morning walked to my house and now we were on our way to the sandlot.

"Wait we gotta stop by Vincent drug store right quick." Benny said

"Okay." I said

We walked in the store and Benny brought another ball his obsession with baseball is going overboard.

"Benny you bought another baseball." I said groaning

"Yeah but not to play with hehe smalls got in some deep shit remember that ball he had yesterday?" He asked

"Mhm." I said

"Well he stole it from his stepdad and it was a autograph Babe Ruth ball." Benny said laughing at how clueless smalls is

"How did... why didn't he... I don't know what to say." I said face palming myself

"Well Imma get Squints to sign this with Babe Ruth signature this is just a decoy until we get the real ball back." Benny said

"Let me see the ball." I said
