Winter Formal

"So Layla we changed the name of the dance to Winter Formal so all girl must wear white but I'll make that announcement later." Martha said

"Oh yeah and you will get tickets today well because ya know the dance is tonight." Mary said

"You guys must love student council and I already have my dress so I'm prepared." I said laughing and walking to our next class and as school went on I was thinking about the dance until the bell ending school

"Alright you guys you have your tickets see you at the winter formal tonight ladies please wear white or silver." Mary said on the intercom

I ran home and got of my school outfit. I showered and washed my hair then put on my makeup I didn't want to apply too much or too little it had to be just right. My mom did my hair and got my white dress of the bag and put it on me she zipped it up and wiped the tear from her eye. I put on my jewelry and shoes and grabbed my clutch

"I wished you would've went with Benny." She whispered

"Me too... but he didn't ask me or plan on asking me so I got another date." I said hugging her ensuring her I was over the whole Benny situation the door bell rang and my mom kissed my cheek and left to open the door for Phillips. We took a what felt like a thousand pictures and then left for the formal.

Benny Pov:
I walked in the formal with Wendy but I wasn't really here with her my heart was with Layla I searched and looked everywhere for her but she wasn't here

"Benny I'm still mad at you for dating the love of my life." I heard squints say

"Yeah yeah Wendy looking smoking today in that white dress." Yeah yeah said to squints

"Shut ya trap yeah yeah that's my woman." Squints said smacking yeah yeah in the head

"Have any of you seen Layla or Phillips?" I asked

"Nah Benny Martha and Mary have been calling her all night no respond." Denunez said

If Phillips tries anything with Layla he's going to get hurt and not like last when I punched it's going to be ten times worst I thought to myself but Wendy pulled me out of my thoughts

"Benny your here with me let me make it a fun night." She said whispering some sexual stuff in my ear

I wasn't pay attention because Layla walked in with Phillips on her arms that should've been me. She was smiling and waving at people from school. Was I really jealous of Phillips right now?

Layla Pov:
I walked in with Phillips and everyone was glad to see me I not gonna lie I was nervous before we walked because I knew Benny was here with Wendy and I wasn't ready for that but Phillips told I was the most beautiful girl in there and that's what I needed. Me and Phillips walked to our table with Denunez and Smalls with Mary and Martha.

"Hi guys." I said grabbing the end of my dress

"Oh my god your beautiful." Martha said

"I taught you well young butterfly." Mary said wiping her tears away

"Yeah right guys... let's sit down." I said laughing as Phillips pulled out my chair

"There you go." He said pushing he chair in as I sat down

"Thank you." I said

"Wow such a gentleman." Mary and Martha said

Benny Pov:
I sat in my seat with Wendy and squints and yeah yeah with their dates. Man does Layla look really gorgeous in that dress must've took a month to find that dress. I didn't realize I was staring until Wendy cleared her throat and blocked my view from Layla.

"Hey guys welcome to the Winter Formal hope you enjoy and have fun." Mary said in the mic

Some music started playing and Wendy went to dance but I stayed behind

"Benny you can't ruin her date because your jealous... maybe if you just told her how you felt you would be here with her." Yeah yeah said as he saw me looking at his sister

"Your right..." I whispered

Layla Pov:
I looked over Phillips shoulder and saw Benny staring at me I stared for while but then laid on Phillips shoulder and slowed danced with him I stop thinking what if I hadn't left and came back because Benny had many opportunities to fix our relationship but he didn't do it time for me to move on maybe I was suppose to end up with Phillips after all.
