Smalls Pov:
A couple days after we all got over acting like big shots, we swore off the hard stuff forever and just stuck to Bazooka. But the day we all got back together for some baseball... was the day I got us into the biggest pickle of all time, and it all started with an omen.

"Oh, man" Ham said

"I don't believe it." Denuez said 

"Bitchin'." Squints said

"Nah, it ain't. " Benny Said

"Come on. Maybe two or three guys in history... ever busted the guts out of a ball." Bertham said

"Must be an omen." I said

"All's it means is that we can't play no more. It's our only ball and I just ruined the whole day for us." Benny said

"No, you didn't. That's the most amazing thing I ever saw." Squints said

"Yeah."Yeah yeah said

"Anybody got any money? Benny said

"No." We all said

"Then it ain't okay, 'cause now we can't play no more. " Benny said

Layla Pov:
I seen the boys all worked up in a circle but I really needed to get this book finished before school started that way I could only focus on cheering. But me being a fan of the sandlot I walked over to the guys and seen them all excited expect Benny.

"Babe what's wrong." I asked

"We can't play baseball anymore because I busted the ball out of it skin." He said a little sad

"Yeah, we can. " Smalls Finally spoke up

"What, you got extra cents lying around, Smalls?" Squints asked 

"No, but I got a ball." Smalls said

All the guys yelled "Go get it!"

Small went into his house it took him a while like jeez did he have a ball or not... He finally ran back out screaming something over and over again.

"I got it, guys! I got it! I got the ball, guys! I got it. Right here, guys. I got the ball. I got it. Here, Benny. I got it." Smalls said

"Bitchin'. Your ball, your ups. Here you go." Benny said handing Smalls the bat

Benny Pov:
Smalls had hit the ball and it went over to the beast territory. I was excited he hit his first home run. But once he seen the ball go over he stopped running.

"Hey, uh, Smalls, third base is that way." I said looking at him confused

"Hey, Smalls. Smalls." Ham said

"Go to third." Squints said

"Oh, no. Oh, no. " I heard Smalls

"Yeah! Nice hit, Smalls." Timmy said

"Nice hit. Yeah!"Tommy said
