Strong winds bouncing off the oak trees standing tall in the forest brings Allison's glowing hair behind her shoulders as her pale face shows no sign of weakness - her golden eyes only imprinting her determination.

"Are you sure there is something out here?" Lydia asks in a shout over the loud howling of the crickets as she stands close behind her best friend, shivering from the cold air of the night.

Allison readjusts her tight grip around the bow placed in between her fingers as she continues pacing through the forest, the only light source shining from off of the moon. Lydia gasps in surprise as a twig snaps in half from behind them, her strawberry blonde hair twirling into a mess.

Allison reaches for an arrow hidden behind her back and places the silver metal into the Argent bow, squeezing one eye lid shut while turning around in circles. No one in sight.

"Maybe it was just a rabbit." Allison speaks up, reassuring her frightened friend quivering from behind her. She forces her bow down and Lydia rolls her light green eyes in slight annoyance.

"That was definitely a human, Allison." Before Lydia could return to her sentence the bushes begin rustling, and this time - it wasn't because of the harsh wind forcing the leaves to fall of branches.

"Who's there?!" Allison calls through the darkness as she tugs Lydia close to her side, pulling the upper string of her bow so far back that it hits her frozen cheek.

A body jumps out of the bushes and rushes towards them using full speed, Allison shoots the bow but Lydia's scream puts off her aim. The arrow goes flying into nowhere.

"Careful!" The boy yell softly as he stops before the two teenagers and places his own bow onto the dirt before their feet. "I come in peace." He speaks with horror dripping from his voice.

"Who are you?" Lydia stands tall from behind Allison and straightens up her shoulders, acting confident and in command. The complete opposite of what she felt she was deep inside.

"Are you the one that has been hunting werewolves around Beacon Hills?" Allison asks as she grips onto her bow tighter than ever needed.

"I'm Alec Lightwood, and this town has become even more dangerous than you would already know."

"So there is other supernatural creatures?" Lydia watches the boy as he speaks, and by the way his eyes sparkled every time his plump lips parted to tell a story, she just knew everything he was saying was the truth.
