"Why do I have to be here?" I groan as I collapse into a chair.

"Because" Tori answers, sitting beside me, "we have to get Alex some new clothes, plus its fun."

I shoot her a dry look, "I don't think shopping and fun should be in the same sentence except there's a not in between"

She rolls her eyes, "you are so dramatic now shh he's coming out"

I roll my eyes and turn as Alex walks out of the changing room.

I stare at him as he turns to us for approval. "Out of 10?" he asks.

5000.

"Uh, yeah its OK on you" I say nonchalantly.

He smirks. Sweet cheese.

"Go try on this one" Tori hands him another set of clothes. He takes them and goes in to change.

I lean back on the chair, still staring at the changing room.

I turn to Tori who has a creepy smile on her face. "What?"

She shakes her head, still smiling, "nothing"

I roll my eyes and groan as I check the time. Alex and I got back from the academy and since we spent like only 8 minutes there (which was 8 excruciating hours of learning and butt kicking, mine to be exact), Tori decided we should go shopping and she has succeeded in carrying my exhausted butt all around the whole freaking mall.

"There better be a huge buffet waiting for me after all this shit"

I flop on my bed on Friday afternoon, totally exhausted. This week has been a successful pain in the neck. Seriously, I have never been more exhausted in my life.

I close my eyes, smiling a little as I float off the bed. That's right, air lessons went really well. Its probably my favourite element. Well I know flying is my favourite part.

There's a knock on my door "come in" I yell. Alex opens the door a crack "hey, I'm heading out to the academy, aren't you going?"

I groan. "Noooooo, I'm tiireed" he chuckles and walks into my room fully, leaning against the door. "And what could possibly make the great Max tired" he asks, his tone mocking

I sit up and shoot him a glare. "Try juggling eight hours of normal school and another eight hours of elementals, not to mention after school lessons, I feel like my days are like 72 hours long" I complain. "And its only been a week" I add.

He chuckles "well if it makes you feel any better, you can sit today out and I'll cover for you"

I snort "like I was going before" he rolls his eyes and opens the door to leave, "by the way I ate the last of the casserole your grandmother made before she travelled "

I groaned, "why on earth would you do that"

He shrugs "it was delicious" and with that, he leaves my room.

I sigh, great now I have to make more cause Grammy won't be back for another two weeks, apparently, her sister claimed she missed her and booked a two weeks cruise for both of them.

And also, my dearest Grandmother thinks its okay to leave a barely 16 year old girl home alone with a guy. My legal guardian ladies and gentlemen.

I close my eyes when my head starts throbbing and before you know it, I'm out like a light.

I wake up sometime around midnight. A sound woke me up and I strain my ears to hear it. Tap tap. I frown and look out the window. A cold feeling of dread washes over me. Rain.
