Maria's POV
After I said all that, Adele just stared at me. I got super scared that she would just leave because I fulfilled her need for me. After maybe five minutes of her just staring at me, I looked down at my watch.
"So it's 6:00 pm now and you kinda have to be in Chicago soon. If you don't mind, I'm just going to go home, get some dinner, and try to forget any of this happened." I said and walked away, trying very hard not to cry. I know I'm being a bitch, but it's the only way right now. I have to break it off with seemingly no emotion. In reality, I'm dying inside. Man, this really sounds like a breakup. I was almost to the road for home when I heard running footsteps behind me. Someone grabbed my shoulder. I turned around and said, "listen, Adele, this is for the best." The only problem was, it wasn't Adele who grabbed my shoulder. It was Riley. I seriously don't need this shit right now.
"Oh were you imagining talking to Adele?" Riley asked.
"No, I wasn't. Now could you please just leave me be? I know your obsessed with me, but I'm not giving autographs right now."
"Why would I want an autograph from you? In fact, I got an autograph from Adele today!"
"Wait you what? When did that happen?"
"Right after she took me out for ice cream! We had the best time and I told her all about you." I was getting a very bad feeling. "Yeah, Adele even said I could come to her concert in Chicago and I could joins her for the rest of her tour! She even said I could bring a plus one! I was thinking about taking you, but Adele said no after I told her about you. Anyways, I've gotta go pack! Toddles!" And with that, Riley flounced away, a long with my hopes and dreams. I can't believe it. Adele straight out lied to me. How could she do that? I thought we had a genuine friendship sprouting. Well I'm done with her. I will no longer tolerate listening to a two faced persons music!
