Adele's POV
Well that most definitely did not go as planned.
"Maria! Come on just open the door!" I shout, pressing my forehead to the door.
"Why should I?" she replies, muffled, probably because she's talking into her pillow.
"Because Riley here has something to tell you." I yell back.
"She can tell me from out there."
"Well... I may have kinda sorta lied when I saw you in the park. Everything I said about hanging out with Adele was fake."
"See?" I shouted, "you have no reason to be mad at me. Can we please go back to being friends?"
"I'll think about it."
"Can I go back to the mall now? My mom is supposed to pick me up there any minute."
"Alright hang on a minute." I reply. We walk down the stairs and over to where Liam and Andrew are sitting. "Andrew, would you be a dear and drive these two back to the mall? I have to stay here with your sister."
"I'd be happy to, but I don't have a car." Andrew replied.
"Oh, well that's no problem, just take mine." I said, throwing him my keys and turning to walk back up the stairs.
"See you later, Adele!" Liam calls out.
"Bye Liam." I say over my shoulder. I reach the top of the stairs and walk over to Maria's room. I sit down with my back to the door and lean my head on it too. It's been a long day and tomorrow I have to fly to Chicago. Hopefully Maria will be on the plane with me. "Maria!" I shout, "it's just you and me now."
"Fine." Is all I hear as a reply. I don't know what to do to convince Maria to let us be friends again. The only thing I can think to do is sing. I always sing when I'm sad. Well, I always sing when I feel basically any emotion. I decide to sing Can't Let Go because I can't let Maria go. "Did you find the note that I wrote? I hid it in the seam of your coat. It was hard to write, I had a lump in my throat. Do you even know that I can't let go? I hope you know I won't let go." I poured as much passion into my voice as I possibly could. For a few seconds I hear nothing but silence. Then I hear a slow clapping that's getting louder. The clapping continues until it's right on the other side of the door. Then all of a sudden the door flies open. I fall backwards, lying stretched out on the ground, looking up at Maria. She looks down at me for a second and then lies down on the floor too. She positions herself so that our heads our across from each other, her mouth lined up with my forehead and vice versa. My body was going out the door and hers into her room.
"Hi." she said.
"Hi," I reply and then kiss her on the forehead.
"I'm sorry for being such a bitch to you. I just don't want you to leave and I thought that by me leaving first I could spare both of our feelings."
"It's alright love. I'm just sorry that Riley said those things to you. If I had reacted quicker to what you said or if I had run after you it wouldn't have happened."
"It's fine. I should have just ignored the haters." (deep shit coming up next)
"No. That phrase bothers the shit out of me. First of all, it's not fine. It's not fine that someone incessantly bullies you. And don't you dare say that you're used to it. That's something no one should ever have to get used to. Secondly, don't ignore the haters. Listen to them and what they are saying. Think about what they are saying. And then prove them wrong. Show them that you aren't what they say you are. Show them that you can do what they say you can't. Show them that you are who they say you aren't. Show them. Prove them wrong."

That deep shit tho😂😂 anyways, don't forget to vote and comment! I love to hear your feedback!
