Chap. 27 Surprises

Adele's POV
We finally got to the hotel and I could see my babies again. The ride in the elevator was pretty silent between Maria and I. We got to the top floor, where the block of rooms was, and started walking down the hallway. My room was at the end of the hall, because according to Peter, my bodyguard, the end of the hall is safer. I knocked on the door, hoping to surprise Simon. I whispered to Maria to stand in front of the door and ask for me while I hid around the corner next to the door. The door opened, Simon said, "Hi, um, how can I help you?"
"Hi, I'm here to see Adele."
"Does she know you? Because if not you're not really supposed to be here." At that moment I popped out and said, "Of course I know her babe, how else would she know which door to knock on?" Simon screamed and immediately enveloped me in a hug. Maria just kind of stood there, trying not to stare, but I could tell she was squealing and fangirling on the inside. "Simon this is Maria, that girl I was telling you about."
"Hello," Maria said, sticking out her hand for a handshake, "it's so nice to meet you sir. I'm happy Adele was able to find a great guy such as yourself."
"Wow did you hear that Adele? She called me sir. And it's nice to meet you too Maria."
"Yeah she has good manners like that. Now, where is my little Peanut?" When I said that, my little boy popped out from behind Simon's legs.
"I'm right here Mummy!" He yelled, jumping into my arms for a hug and kiss. At that point, Peanut looked over and saw Maria. "Who is that?"
"That is my friend Peanut. Her name is Maria and hopefully she'll be your friend too."
"Wow a new friend! It's nice to meet you friend Maria."
"Hello..." At that point, Maria blanked and looked at me, unsure of whether to call him Angelo or Peanut. I mouthed Angelo to her and she smiled. "Hello Angelo! I have a very important question to ask you."
"What, what?" Peanut said, excited at the prospect of being involved in something important.
"What is your absolute most favorite movie in the entire world?"
"Oh, that's and easy one, I love Frozen! Have you ever seen it?"
"I've only seen it once. How about you and me watch it together?"
"Yeah!" Peanut yelled, with a big grin on his face, "can we watch it Mummy?"
"Of course you can baby boy." I said. Peanut ran off to go set it up. "It looks like you know the key to his heart." I said to Maria.
"Yeah," she said, looking as though she wants to add more.
"What is it?" I try to prompt.
"Well, you'll probably think this is weird and creepy but I've seen all of your interviews so I do know a lot about you." Maria said, looking at the floor and not me in the eyes like she normally does. I lift her chin so she has to look me in the eye and say
"Hey, I don't think it's weird. I just think I have a lot of catching up to do." Maria smiled and then we heard Peanut yelling for her to come watch the movie.
"Guess I better get going." She said and walked into the hotel room. I followed, excited to talk to my man.
