Daydreamer: An Adele Fanfic

Chap. 15

Adele's POV
After the job was over, we decided to walk around the park and talk. I thought this was a good idea so the location remained some what neutral, even though I'm in an entirely different country.
"So, Adele. What brings you to me, exactly?" Maria asked, and I could see she was trying to keep it from being awkward.
"Well, my manager, Jonathan introduced me to your fan account. I have a question I want answered and you were the person I chose to possibly answer it."
"I can't really answer it unless you tell me what it is."
"I want to know why you love me so much." I ask, very frank and to the point. Maria stops in the middle of the path and turns to look at me.
"That is a very tough question, but I applaud you for asking it. The answer is incredibly complicated, at least in my case. I also believe that it's at least slightly different for every fan of yours, I'll tell you my reasoning, and then I'll tell you the more broad reason."
"Alright, go ahead then."
"My reasons are that you've filled multiple voids in my life. For one thing, you are a constant. I can always listen to your music and always look at pictures or videos of you because they are always there. They'll never go away or leave me, which has happened to myself before. Second, you're like a friend. I feel like I know a lot about you and you know a lot about me. It's kind of like your music is incredibly personal and a window into your emotions. It's real. Third, your music touches me. It's like you put how I was feeling into words, which I've never experienced before. At first it just intrigued me, but now I'm hooked. I'm not sure what I would do if I wasn't able to listen to you or watch videos of you or look at pictures of you. The same goes for right now. It's incredibly bittersweet because I love being with, but you'll have to leave eventually. Now for the broader reason. Everyone has a story and everyone has been sad before. You put a kind of classic feeling, heartbreak, into incredibly relatable songs. People listen to you and love you because they feel like someone understands them. It also doesn't hurt that your incredibly talented, stunningly beautiful, extremely funny, and brilliant. Honestly, it's hard not to love you." I was speechless.
