Chapter 4

The Teams

The next morning, the team and the section leaders they were working with, prepared to meet the different governments.  Each pair of Section Leaders would split up in order to convince the governments so that they could cover more distance.  

Before going to try and speak with the French president about the current situation, Sapphire went to Ava's house to ask if she could help her.  Ava happily agreed and Sapphire assigned her to Bulgaria and Romania to start off.  She also gave Ava a communication collar so that she could inform her of her progress. 

Upon arriving, Sapphire was first stopped by the guards at the first entrance, but they were no match for her powers and let her through.  She proceeded through the rest of the building with the same amount of futile resistance.  Once she arrived to the doors of the Presidents office, she asked to see the President.

"It's a matter of national security.  The information I bring can only be heard by him." explained Sapphire

She quickly showed the guards flashes of memories to show them that she was telling the truth. 

"Of course mademoiselle." answered the guard, dumbfounded, and quickly entered the president's office.

Five minutes later, the guard came back out and let Sapphire in.

"Thank you." acknowledged Sapphire

"Welcome." greeted the President.  "The guard told me that you had vital information concerning the future of the world." he continued, partially mocking Sapphire, partially nervous.

"Yes.  My name is Sapphire and I have extremely important information: this world will be destroyed if you do not cooperate with me and my army." 

The President could not believe his ears.  How could this be possible?  What was this army Sapphire was talking about? How had he, nor anyone else seen it?

Sapphire began explaining how she was not really human and that her brother and their team had summoned an army to protect Earth from the Shahils.  She also explained everything that had happened until then: how her brother came to rescue her after the Supreme Commander transformed her into a human and erased all of her memories.

"How can you not be human?"

Sapphire transformed into her Nashska form, not wanting to loose any time.

The french President jumped back in terror as Sapphire transformed and started slowly walking towards him.  He had never seen this before.

Sapphire laughed: she knew that the President would believe her from now on.

"I see you are starting to believe me.  May I continue my explanation?" asked Sapphire.

The President was left voiceless but nodded his head.  He had tried to call out for the guards but he could not speak: it was as if something had blocked his vocal cords.

"Now," continued Sapphire "This world is going to be destroyed.  The Supreme Commander is not happy that my brother succeeded in turning me back and he's going to punish us.  He knows that I will protect this planet, having been raised on it for the past 17 years.  All I ask of you is that you let me and my army defend this planet and that you let us have a major part of your food supplies.  I will also ask that all your medical staff help us during the attack.  I have 32 medical warriors but they will not be enough to heal at an army of 120 000 soldiers in the middle of a battle.  Our army has twenty-some leaders: four other leaders of my army are in Europe and the other twenty-one leaders have gone to convince the governments that this world will be destroyed.  Can we count on your support?" Sapphire asked

"Y-yes." answered the President, still in shock.

"Now to make it easier on us, I would appreciate if you could contact all the other leader of states that you have a hotline with or that you have the number of.  It will save us a lot of time." requested Sapphire.

"I'll do it right away." accepted the President.

"Good.  Thank you.  I'll stay here until I am sure that you have communicated with them then I will go on my merry way to warn the rest of Europe." said Sapphire with a touch of sarcasm.

"Fine." 

The President led Sapphire down to the special communications room, calling all his Generals and Secretaries, telling them to join them down there.

Once they were down in the communications room, the french President called out to all his government contacts as Sapphire asked.  Once they had answered, the President explained the situation, asking that they let Sapphire's soldiers take care of the crisis and to let them have all the resources they needed, especially during the fight.  Some were reluctant at first but Sapphire managed to convince them to accept.  Once the President had finished the call, Sapphire thanked him and left the building to communicate with the other Leaders.  Those who were not in charge of Europe were happy that she had made progress.  As for Kimash, Zandrilath  and Vanshai had reported that when they arrived, the government had already been warned and had promised to help them spread the word.  Under a few hours, the whole of Europe knew that Sapphire and part of her army were going to save Earth.  The population had panicked though but had been safely guided to underground read that were then sealed off.  Only the doctors and nurses had been left at the surface.  The doctors had started training more and more nurses since even with the 32 medical warriors, the 120 000 warriors that they had to compensate for was too large a number.  All the medical students who were studying to be doctors or surgeons were also being trained by the surgeons.  Kimash had been sent back to their realm in order to retrieve more medicine for the warriors.  There he met Karo who had also been sent back by his team in order to retrieve medications.

The leaders had given the heads of states communication methods s that they could communicate with each other.  The heads of states had also been sent into an extremely safe underground hiding.
