Warriors of Darkness Book 2: The Fight

Chapter 5

Thrivil

A large weight lifted itself from Thrivil's chest after Sapphire had announced that France was going to cooperate.  Thrivil, Shazma, Ashley and Zanshi had gone to North America to warn the governments.  Since they were a group of four leaders, Thrivil and Shazma went to warn the American president, Ashley went to warn the Mexican government and Zanshi went to warn the Canadian government.

Thrivil and Ashley had arrived at the American president's office.  They did not expect what the president was going to tell them.  Once Thrivil and Ashley were admitted into the president's office, he said:

"I have been informed of your business by the French president."

The two warriors, surprised by this statement, did not know how to respond.

"I have spoken about the matter with the different secretaries and we all agree that we must aid you in your battle against these attackers."

The two warriors sighed in relief.

"Thank you sir." said Thrivil  "Allow us to present ourselves: I am Thrivil, one of the temporary leaders of the army and second leader of the governing team."

"I am Shazma, Section Omega's official leader." completed Ashley

"Temporary?" asked the president

"Yes.  My team is made up of thirteen warriors, including myself and my twin sister who is the other leader of the team.  We had requested an army of 120 000 warriors from our Supreme Commander and we received twelve sections of 10 000 warriors.  These twelve sections are half of the entire Nashka army.  Under normal circumstances, the section leaders answer to the Supreme Commander's general, not to my team and I.  They will be under our command for the duration of the fight.  They will go back to following the orders of the Supreme Commander's general once we return to our realm." explained Thrivil

"I see.  Is it possible for us to meet with your... Supreme Commander? Or at least communicate with him?" inquired the president

"No sir.  We  have only managed to establish communication through messengers who must travel through portals from one realm to another." 

The president gave a sigh, clearly disappointed to not meet the Supreme Commander but decided not to say anything.

"What do you require that the citizens do in preparation of your battle?" he asked

"We strongly suggest that they be hidden in underground shelters and that they stay there until the fight is over." explained Thrivil

"Well that's not going to be easy as some states have very little or no shelters." 

"Then you must give the order to start building some right away." ordered Thrivil "We don't know how much time we have left and we need to save as many lives as possible."

"I understand.  Anything else?"

"We need all doctors, surgeons, pharmacists, nurses and students studying to become doctors to be available.  Those who are untrained must be trained.  We have a very small medical force with our section and we need all the help we can get. In addition to that, anyone who is willing to help the doctors and surgeons must help them.  We will also need a part of your food supplies." demanded Thrivil

"This can be done.  But I must know that you will do everything in your possible to protect the civilians who will help you." declared the President.

"I can't promise anything but we will do our best sir."

After a few minutes of reflection, the president accepted.

"I accept to offer our medical staffs around the country to help you and a certain number of our civilians." 

"Thank you sir." said Thrivil and Shazma, respectfully bowing their heads.

Once the duo had left the president's office, they contacted the rest of the team.  They were happy to hear that more progress was made.  Zanshi was also successful in Canada as the Canadian government had also gotten a message from the American president just that moment.  Ashley was having more difficulty with the Mexican government as they still refused to believe her after all the proof that she had shown them.

"Ashley, I'm sending Shazma and Zanshi to help you." said Thrivil through his communication collar. 

"Thanks boss. Where will you go?"

"I'm going back to Europe to check on the army.  See you back home."

"See you back home."

Liam, Ferrwrath, Lashthra and Sheimar were successful in warning all of Africa; Speria, Karo Thvanil and Thrinan were successful in South America, though after a hard time convincing some governments; Andarash, Tom and Sparky  had also been successful in Oceania.  Mishai, Shathril, Ashtvillak and Kayil had managed to convince the governments of China, Russia, Mongolia and Sri Lanka that they were telling the truth but were having more trouble with the others. As for Sapphire's team, they had managed to warn the whole of Europe and were reporting back to Headquarters.

When Thrivil arrived at the army base in France, he was acclaimed by the army.  They had seen the results of negotiations on special screens that had been set up.  After having checked the supplies, Thrivil headed back to Headquarters. 

There he found his sister, Ava, Zandrilath, Kimash and Vanshai.  They were about to go get some pizza when he came in.

"Pizza? Really? We have food here!" argued Thrivil

"Yes but not enough for all of us and not as good." said Sapphire

"You know that we can get as much food as we need right?  We can get some more food to cook here!"

"But pizza is better after a long day.  And since most of the countries are helping us prepare for the fight, it's a reason to celebrate."

"Fine." accepted Thrivil.

Sapphire, Ava and Vanshai left off to go get the pizza at the pizza store.  During their absence, Andarash, Tom, Sparky, Liam, Ferrwrath, Speria, Karo, Thvinan, Thvanil, Lashthra and Sheimar had returned.  The team was only waiting on the last two teams.

An hour and a half had passed by and they still hadn't returned.  Sapphire and her "pizza team", as they were nicknamed, were almost done with the pizzas and had requested that Liam and Sheimar go help them bring them back. 

During this period, Thrivil contacted the two groups, telling them to return to Headquarters.  He then contacted the American president, the Chinese government and the Russian government to tell them of the situation.  They had accepted to find a way to convince the remaining countries that the army was telling the truth.  They would contact the leading team the next day to inform them of their progress.

Thus the leading team had a good evening, though it was slightly tense due to the fact that some nations had not believed them.
