You looked at the passing scenery as you sat in your parent's car. You had your headphones around your neck as your parents questioned you on the recent incident at your college.
"Were you hurt at all?"
"No."
"Did you know anybody that was murdered?"
"Probably. They haven't given out names yet."
"Do you want to go to a different college?"
"I don't know."
You answered all questions in a more monotone voice than usual. Your parents didn't question it since you were possibly in shock after the murders.
You sighed, "I think I need to take a walk when we get home." You stated, glancing at your parents. Your dad nodded, "Alright. Just make sure to bring your key and pocket knife with just in case." He looked back to see you nod.
Your mother stopped the car at a curb by the park you used to play at as a child, "How about you take a walk here? It's been years since you've been here!" She smiled. You smirked, "Yeah, alright. Thanks mom." You opened the door, stepping out, "Can you guys just bring my things into the house?" You asked, motioning toward your bags. Your father nodded, "Of course."
You closed the car door, waving to your parents as they drove off. When the car was out of sight you started off, walking past the playground and into the more overgrown area. Taking a deep breath, you tried clearing your mind.
As you walked, you passed by several trees and rocks that you could remember from adventuring as a child. The further you went into the forest, the more and more overgrown everything was looking.
After a few minutes you began to frown, stopping in your tracks. Where were you..? You looked around, realizing that the scenery had changed entirely. The trees were thinner and taller, the air was colder, yet moist, and the soil was as dry as a desert.
Turning around, your eyes widened as you looked at where you had come from. It wasn't the same as what you remember passing. You ran back, turning around and looking back forward to see that it still wasn't the same.
Crack.
You snapped your head to the left as you heard footsteps. You squeaked, running to a tree in attempt to hide in the smallest bit.
You had no idea if they would help you or shoot you. What if it wasn't even a human? What if it was some vicious animal that hadn't eaten in a while and wanted lunch?
Pushing your body against the tree, you held your breath as you froze up. The footsteps sounded louder and more repetitive than before. Were there more than one? Or was it just one going really fast? No, it would have been louder by now..
"What are we gonna tell Slender?"
"All we can do is apologize. He won't get that upset we failed this one."
You heard masculine voices nearing your spot. They were about a meter from the tree you suspected.
"What if he does get mad though!"
"He won't, trust me Hoodie."
Your eyes widened as you felt a familiar sensation in your breathing. You forgot about allergies.. And you have been around nature for about half an hour.
"How can you be so sure, Masky?"
Crap.
"Just think about it! He favors us out of the house so far so he should give us the benefit of a doubt."
Crap.. crap.. crap..
"Well.. Alright, I'll try to not worry so much.."
"ACHOO!!"
You squeaked as your body jerked. The voices went silent as you felt more sneezes coming.
"ACHOO!!"
"ACHOO!!"
"ACHOOOOO!!"
You panted in effort to catch your breath. Whimpering, you could hear the footsteps walking around the tree, stopping right behind you.
"Who are you?"
You turned around, looking at the two men who stood before you. One wore a yellow hood, black fabric covering his face with a red embroidered sad face in it's place. The other wore a white mask which had black lips and eyes and his jacket was a tan color.
"I.. " You trailed off as you felt chills run down your spine. The hooded boy turned to the masked man, "That's impolite!" He stated before looking to you, "Bless you. Now, who are you?"
You nervously laughed, "My name is Y/N." You informed, sitting up straight. The masked one nodded, "And what are you doing here?"
"I.. I don't know actually. I got a little lost while going for a walk."
The two looked at each other, "A mortal just happened to wander in? I thought Slender cut off that connection to them!" The hooded male said in a surprised tone before both looked back to you.
You took a step back, "Hey, look, I don't mean to cause any trouble! I'll leave if you give me directions." The two looked at one another again, "Should we..?" The masked one questioned the hooded one. There was a moment of silence before he answered, "Mine as well give it a shot."
The masked boy looked at you, "If you would be as kind as to come with us for a slight 'detour'." He asked kindly. You gulped, "Uh.. Alright I guess..? You guys aren't planning on doing anything to me, are you..?" You asked. The duo shook their heads, "No, we just want to figure out how you got here." The hooded male answered before they began to walk, motioning for you to follow.
You gulped, what had you gotten yourself into? They could be wanted criminals for all you know!
Trailing after the two, you considered running, though you were also curious as to where they were leading you. The duo were silent as you walked, creating an awkward vibe for you.
A few minutes passed before they spoke up, "Oh, we should probably introduce ourselves." The masked one suggested. He looked to you, "I am Masky and this is Hoodie."
You chuckled, "Why are you two called that?" You joked. Hoodie cleared his throat, "Well you see, we wear these so it's only natural for our nicknames to b-"
"I get it! I was just joking around." You chuckled. Hoodie laughed a little before going quiet again. You looked down as you continued following the two strangers deeper into the forest.
//Eyy, Masky and Hoodie!! Anyway, thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed!!
