brittany;

"hey beautiful. the boys want to go to the carnival..." Liam states as he walks up behind, placing his hands in my pregnant belly, as I'm making lunch.

"and...?"

"and do you want to come with? is it okay to go?" he asks, placing a kiss on my neck.

"I guess...since the boys want to go and not my husband." I answered, smiling.

he chuckled, placing another kiss to my neck before going to tell our sons the news.

"mummy! can I play the duck game?" Jackson asks as he spots the game.

"yeah! can we play mummy?" Jayden asks, now spotting the game as well.

I sigh and nod, pulling out my wallet.

"I got it, Britt. I mean, I did ask for them to come." he smiled.

"oh. you're such a gentleman, Liam." I smiled, shooting him a playful look.

for being married and having three kids together, Liam and I still act more like best friends than anything. at least we can still have fun even though our lives are changing before our eyes.

"thank you mummy!" the twins say in unison, smiling.

"excuse me, I'm paying?" Liam says, more in a questioning manner to the boys.

"thank you daddy!" they say, smiling mischievously. they sure know how to annoy their father some days.

"mummy, can we go on the teacups? I won't spin them too much." our three year old asks.

"baby, how about you and daddy go on the teacups? mummy isn't feeling too well." I frown.

"okay! what's wrong mummy? why don't you feel good?"

"my stomach feels dizzy." I said, since that's the way our son describes an upset stomach.

he nods, pouting. he is definitely a bit of a mummy's boy. he always sticks by my side and wants to make sure I'm alright.

I feel the baby kick a little and I sigh. I'm nearly 9 months pregnant, the baby can come anytime from now to about three weeks away.

to say I was a bit paranoid would be an understatement. I was always worried I would go into labor at any second; squatting to pick something up, getting into the shower, doing dishes.

so yeah I was a bit worried about being out at a busy carnival, but I know how much Liam and our sons like it. I couldn't deprive them of fun.

"baby, the boys won." Liam called, walking over to us.

I smiled and looked at the twins, each of whom were carrying a small stuffed animal.

"that's great! would you go on the teacups with Joshua? I don't feel the greatest, babe." I asked, as the twins showed Josh their new toys that they probably wouldn't touch after we get home.

"of course. why don't you go sit down and I take the boys on a few rides?" he offered.

I smiled, gratefully at him. my feet were aching, my back had been hurting for months now it seemed, and my head was pounding. on top of all of that, I also had cramps starting in my lower abdomen.

"thank you so much, baby. I love you." I thanked.

"I love you more. sit down and breathe." Liam said, already leading the boys towards the rides.
