Emily's PoV

All the girls are having a family time with their family. Toby is working, Caleb is in Ravenswood visiting his dad. And me? I'm all alone in my house, doing nothing. My parents are still in New York.

I can't text Ali, the girls, or even Toby and Caleb, because i don't want to interrupt anything.

I'm getting bored by scrolling on my phone, looking through my instagram feeds.

I stood up from my bed and change my clothes.
The Brew might be nice right now.

I open my garage and take my old Vespa and my helmet. A ride will be refreshing right now.

I turn the engine on, and thank god it still works perfectly.

I start to drive to The Brew. I passed Ali's house and the girls's house. I saw their cars are parked there along with their family's car.

It took me 10 minutes to get to The Brew.
I parked my Vespa and walks in.

I ordered my usual drink and sit down on the empty seat.

I take my phone out and see a few messages from my college friends.

When i was typing to reply, another text came in. It's from Alison.

Hey babe, wyd?

I'm having coffee at The Brew. How's the family day going?

It's okay. Are you alone there?

Yeah. I'm the only one who don't have family rn🤔

Come on, don't be such a baby😂. You know you can always come to my place😊😘.

Nah, it's okay babe. I'll stay here. Oh, and say hi to your family from me☺️.

I will. Okay then. I love you babe❤️. I'll text you later.

Okay. I love you more😘

"Emily Fields? Is that really you?" A familiar voice said. I look up and see Sydney smiling at me.

"Oh. Hi Sydney." I greeted her back.

"Can i sit here?" She asked.

"Uh- sure." I said and she sits happily.

"I didn't know you're in town." She said.

"Yeah, it'll be just a quick visit." I shrugs.

"Oh..." She seems to realize how uninterested i am to talk to her right now.
"Uh, do you still... Hate me?" She asked.

"No, it's just. I didn't expect to see anyone else still around here." I shrugs.

"Oh. Good then. But i just, i've never really apologized to you nor Ali." She sighs. "What i did was so petty. I tried to destroyed your relationship with her, and i have no right for that. And for when i played with your feeling, i'm very sorry for the way i acted back then." She rubs the back of her neck as she speaks.
