"Joseph! Wake up!"- a voice said
*knock* *knock* *knock*
I got up from bed moaning and rubbing my eye's adjusting to the light.
"I'm already up sis!"- I yelled
"Guess what came in the mail"- she said
I quickly got up and ran down stairs to the kitchen as fast as I can cause I already knew what was finally here.
"What's the rush bro?"- my brother Carlos said
"Is it the letter?"- I asked my sis
"See for yourself"- she said handing me an envelope
I took a seat on the kitchen bar hoping this letter will give me good news.
"Joseph I'm sorry to tell you but, sadly you didn't get admitted in the school"- my brother said annoyingly
"Carlos don't tease your brother"- my sister said
"I'm just saying sis; you know how hard it is to join that school"- my brother said
"Want to bet he got in?"-my sis said looking at my brother
"Loser cleans the dishes for a week?"- my brother said
"Deal"- my sis agreed
"You do know Joseph doesn't even have his powers right?"- my brother said
"Carlos you clearly know he's a late bloomer like it could happened to you or anyone"- my sis said in an angry little voice
As they we're arguing I stared at the letter from a school I applied to. A school for teens that comes from a abilities blood line like in my family. My Mom and Dad studied there as well before we came along. They both met there and started dating a few years until my Dad proposed to my Mom. Let's just say that the proposal came with a wedding and 5 kids with it. First was Keyla our big sister, then it was Nydia, after that yours truly was born, then my brother Carlos came along and last but not least our princess Kiara came along.
I was so excited to attend this school because I want to be as powerful as my parents and my two big sisters. They two attended the school as well and did well, but before we knew it our parents we're called on a big mission when I was ten years old. My two big sisters had to drop of school cause of that to take care of us. When matters got worse they didn't came back and went missing. Up until now I'm 15 years old and we still haven't heard from them but I still have hope they will come back.
"You ok Joseph?"- I heard my sis saying
"Sorry, I was just thinking"- I said coming back to reality from my thoughts
"Well what your waiting for? Open it"- my sis said looking at me as well as my brother while he's eating
I took a deep breath, opened the letter and It Read:
Dear Joseph Cromwell,
We received your letter and application for our school of abilities. I gratefully say that you are ADMITTED in our school. We look forward seeing you starting the next coming Monday.
Remember that students will be living on campus, so bring all your belongings. I look forward meeting you in person Mr. Cromwell.
