6 months, 180 days, 4320 hours, 259200 minutes till graduation. Adults are right when they say that teenagers are in a rush to grow up. They are also right about regretting it later in life. What if you didn't have a childhood in the first place? What if your mother left your father when you were two years old? What if you had no siblings to share your feelings with? What if your father wasn't always there by your side because he was busy handling a house alone by himself? In such a case, growing up will do you no harm.
"Murph, are you listening? The bell has rung, we've got English now. Unless you want to sit here all by yourself and clean the dishes", Jessie said pointing at me. That was her way of saying 'let's go to class'. Jessie James was the principal's daughter, and the most liked person in school. Wait, let me correct myself, most liked by boys. She was the meanest person you would ever come across. Ragging, bullying, teasing, was in her blood. Everybody knew what type of a person she was.
When I came to Brundage High in my freshman year, I was bullied by a few senior girls. Of course, I didn't have the courage to fight back then. But there she was, Jessie James to the rescue. She shooed them off, whispering something in one of the girl's ears. I didn't know what she said, but whatever she did made them go away. I was so grateful of her, I did everything possible to thank her. But she just wanted me to do her assignments in return as she was just oh-too-busy studying fashion.
I never understood why she needed me. With all the things I heard about her, yeah Jessie was pretty much the worst person ever. Then why am I still sitting in the same lunch table as her? I guess I was the one who needed her, not the other way around.
I've never been really good at making friends. I have a handful of them, but I'm not quite sure if I can even call them friends. The only other two friends that I have are Meslissa Cart and Regina Parks who basically just run after Jessie all the time. They wear the same pink clothes, same pink shoes, and same pink nailpolish.
Then there's Jake Miller who I wouldn't exactly call a friend because we have talked only a couple of times. He's got these light blue eyes which will remind you of the sky, and frisky dark brown hair. I'm not sure I can even lay my eyes on him for the fact that he is Jessie's ex. Not that I want to but he's cute. Jessie has dated almost all the boys in the basketball team, and she can't stand anyone else being with them.

I broke out from my thoughts, and finally got up and walked towards class. Professor Neiman is possibly the best teacher ever. He's quite young for a professor, but he makes sure to win the 'Best teacher's award' every year. I'd say he deserves it for his hard work, and dedication.
He won't give you any homework, until the end of the week. He says all you've got to do is pay attention when he's teaching. I've always been fond of English, but when Professor Neiman describes a character, you can't help but get into that character yourself.Just last week we were given to read The catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger, and when professor Neiman was discussing it with us he just got into the character! For starters he started talking like Holden, and not only that but one day he even got an old hat, which I believe is about twenty years old.
I was so dissolved in what the professor was saying that I couldn't even hear my name being called out. I turned around and saw a grin on Jessie's face, and I instantly frowned. She rolled her eyes pointing towards professor Neiman. I gave her a confused look. But before she could even say anything, the professor called out her name, "Well done, Jessie. I'm quite surprised that you submitted your project on time. You did a good job.". As though she even did it herself.
The bell rang, announcing the end of the period. Announcing the end of another day. 6 months to go, but the clock moves like a snail each second. I don't know how I'm gonna get though this. I just can't figure out what I'm gonna do after I graduate. I'm not even sure I'll get in to any dancing academy. Though whatever it will be it'll be better than this.

Hey guys, I'm so very sorry for the long wait! More updates to come! So stay with me, and let me know how you're liking it so far ❤️
This is from Murph's perspective. I'm gonna be doing it like that, chapters from both Dyan and Muph's perspective. Hope you like the idea. This chapter basically reflects on Murph's character, and the people she is surrounded by. And don't worry there's a lot more of Jessie to come!
Song : A step you can't take back, by Keira Knightly
Character : Murph Hale, played by Carey Mulligan
