"It's broken?"

"It's super broken." The doctor said. "You broke your left leg all those years ago?"

"Well your leg is broken." The doctor said.

"Same. High five" Kelley said in the bed next to me.

I looked at her then back at the doctor. "Yeah no shit it's broken."

"Yeah against Germany. Me and Kelley." I smiled at the memory. 

"Well. Congrats Y/N you've broken both your legs in your lifetime." He said. "This one is going to require surgery so"

"So no Olympics." I finished for him.

"I'm sorry." He said. "We'll try to get everything fixed as quickly and smoothly as possible. We'll get you back on the field in no time."

"No maybe this is a sign." I said. 

"A girl is outside for you. Said her name is Mal? Should I said her in?"

"Yeah. Need some teammates right now." The doctor left and Mal walked in.

"Pugh Pugh Pugh." I said.

"Hey. Abby sent me to keep an eye on you." She said. "They're with Kelley. I guess something happened." She sat in the chair near my bed. "So how you doin?"

"My leg's broken." I said.

"That's great." 

"I know." I laid my head back. "No Olympics." 

"I'll win gold for you don't worry."

"Please Mal. If you're on the team I'm not worried."

"Did someone say not worried?" Steph walked in. 

"That makes no sense at all." Mal said to her. 

"Steph McCaffrey how you doing?" She laughed. Sam and Kristie walked in behind her. 

"We're here to baby sit you. So. Baby, sit." Kristie said.

"I don't know her." Sam said.

"I do!" Steph jumped on her back.

"Stephanie. Off." 

The nurse came in and we set a date for the surgery. "We'll come in and put you in a brace and give you some crutches. Till then just relax here." The nurse left.

They got everything settled for me and we left. "Abby was super worried." Mal said.

"I know."

"How do you know?"

"She's always looked out for me."
