No one's POV:

"Looks like the US will be a change. It's a debut. The 17 year old, Mackenzie O'Hara earning her first cap tonight. Look at that smile as she checks into the game. O'Hara the daughter of US legend Kelley O'Hara. Mackenzie now wearing the number 5 her mother made a name for herself in."

Your POV:

"Come on baby girl." Kelley smiled. "Make us proud."

"She was sitting on the bench, I was proud." Sydney said.

"Yeah sitting on the bench. Like mother like daughter." Ash laughed.

"You wanna talk about bench warming, Harris?" She stood up.

"Kelley." I said. "Look."

No one's POV:

"It's Rosa L/N with the ball now, crossing it into the box. SHOT! GOAL! TWO NOTHING! US! MACKENZIE O'HARA!"

"Welcome to the US National Team little O'Hara! The young forward getting her first goal off a great cross from another youngster, 20 year old Rosa L/N. With these two on the pitch, the future is very bright."

"Just look at how much it means to O'Hara as she looks up to the stands, most likely to her mother. It took Kelley 5 years to score her first goal, today it took her daughter just 2 minutes. The torch has been passed."

Your POV:

Kelley jumped around. "MY DAUGHTER DID THAT! YOUR DAUGHTER DID THAT!" She looked at me.

"We got some badass kids O'Hara." I smiled.

"They got some badass parents."

"Guys." Christen said. We looked at the pitch.

No one's POV:

"Now it's O'Hara, just passing defenders one by one. The pass, and the goal! L/N gets her goal and the US rookies are telling everyone to get excited for the years ahead."

"O'Hara said you got me a goal, now I get you one."

"Mal Pugh and Rose Lavelle have officially passed the torch onto Rosa L/N and Mackenzie O'Hara."

Your POV:

"What a game." I smiled. "Our girls killed it." I pushed Kelley to the side.

"Our daughters are close friends, now you have to be my friend forever." She smirked.

"Shit I didn't think this through." My phone rang. "It's Ally." I answered. "Hello? Yeah, the game ended a little while ago. Two goals and an assist." I said. "Mackenzie played great too."

"GIRLS!" Kelley took off running.

"They just walked out, you want to talk to her? Yeah, I'll have her call you later." I hung up. "Child, what a game." I hugged her. "You killed it."

"Couldn't have done it without little O'Hara." She looked at Mackenzie.

"You're better than your mom." I said.

"I know." She smiled. "Can we go eat or something?" She said.

"Where's the team?" Kelley asked.

"They're all 21 and up." Rosa said. "And I'm a year short of that."

"Don't rush it." I said. "Bad enough you're 20." I mumbled.

"Aw, do you miss me?"

"YES!" I said. We went to get food. "So little O'Hara. You pick a school?"

"Yeah." She said. "I committed to Stanford."

"Like her mama." Kelley said.

Rosa and Mackenzie walked ahead of us talking. "Has she asked about her father?"

"Yeah." Kelley sighed. "I can't tell her the truth. Oh, your father? He's an asshole and tried to kill your aunt."

"You can't keep it from her Kel. She's gonna be going off to college. She's more like you than anything. He's a coward and you are a strong woman who raised the best kid ever all by yourself. She can know who he is, what he did, but she'll love him like she loves you. You are her hero, Kel."

Kelley smiled. We caught up with our kids. "You know I love you right?" She said to Mackenzie.

"I know."
