Chapter 21
Carly
I look at it. Unknown number. I don't know who it is, but I pick up anyways, "Hello?"
The person on the other end sighs, "Carly."
"Oh my god! Damien!" No I don't hate him. I start crying, "Damien. You don't know how worried I was."
"I'm so sorry. Carly I-"
"D, I have to go. Aunt Ginger needs me. Call me later." I hang up. I'm relieved he's alright. I hate him again. He didn't bother calling until a month after he was gone. Tyler texts me. He hasn't even been gone five minutes. I smile. At least I know somebody cares for me.

I wake up and sing along to the radio, first time in forever. Tyler calls and I put him on speaker. He's the best, although he says I'm crazy. Thinking about D. Can't believe he called. Don't believe he even bothered to call. Hate him. I feel really bad keeping my secret from Tyler. I think he'd be scared of me if I told him I'm a vampire. I know I'd be scared of me. Not gonna tell him. Not gonna risk it. Not gonna risk what happened with D. I really have to stop thinking about him. My day is normal. Tyler follows me around still. He's my best buddie now.
Every girl wants to be my friend because Ty "likes" me. Even Jake's sister, Jill is hanging around me. Tyler made some new friends, so I'm stuck with the popular girls. Too bad.
"You're so lucky you have Tyler as your boyfriend!" Jill squeals.
"Um, he's not my boyfriend."
"Really? With the way he looks at you...I thought for sure."
"How does he look at me?" I'm surprised, I like him that way too.
"Longingly, like he's in love with you."
"Seriously?"
"Seriously," my heart flutters. What if he does like me that way
