The Quinjet landed, and Ana was quickly ushered to the medical level. Tony was fiddling with the control panel, hoping to whoever was out there, that would not be the last time he saw his sister while she had a pulse. Clint was wheeled out soon after, followed by Natasha. Bruce and Thor filed out carrying equipment. Steve remained on the jet, fixing the medical supplies that had been moved. Agent Maria Hill joined the duo on the jet, walking towards the older Stark.
"Lab's all set up, boss. And sorry about Ana." Maria says professionally.
"She not dead." Steve mimicked Natasha's voice as he chuckled to himself from his spot on the floor.
"Uh, actually, he's the boss. I just pay for everything, and design everything and make everyone look cooler." Tony says, referring to Steve, after lightly chuckling himself. The entire trip back everyone would make comments about how Ana would be missed, and each time Natasha yelled at them. Everyone on the team knew that Ana would scold them for spending a long time moping about.
"What's the word on Strucker?" Steve asks, getting straight to business after his joke.
"NATO's got him."
"The two enhanced?"
"Wanda and Pietro Maximoff. Twins. Orphaned at ten when a shell collapsed their apartment building. Sokovia's had a rough history. It's nowhere special but it's on the way to everywhere special." Maria skims over she file she pulled up on the twins, holding it out for Steve to see.
"Their abilities?"
"He's got increased metabolism and improved thermal homeostasis. Her thing is neural electric interfacing, telekinesis, mental manipulation." Maria answers using science words that caused Steve to look at her funny, if Ana was with him, she would've had the same response. "He's fast and she's weird."
"Well, they're going to show up again." Steve says, finally able to understand what she was talking about.
"Agreed. File says they volunteered for Strucker's experiments. It's nuts." Maria says as Steve walks into an elevator.
"Right. What kind of monster would let a German scientist experiment on them to protect their country?" Steve says, clearly taking offense to her statement.
"We're not at war, Captain."
"They are." Steve says as the doors begin to clothes.

The doctors had immediately removed the extra fabric from Ana's suit, and cleaned the bloody area. The head doctor was sure to note the bloody hand prints, much larger than Ana's, around the area on her wound.
She was lucky, the dagger was small and missed all her organs. In a few long hours the the blade had been removed and now stitched up. Everyone was completely thankful that Dr. Cho had said that the same process that healed Clint successfully would work for Ana and have her up and moving in an hour.
"When should she wake up?" Ana heard her brothers voice. It was hazy, and it was ironic that it was the thing she heard after waking up. A groan escaped her lips as she began to sit up, before being pushed back down by her shoulders.
"Ana I swear to god if you break your stitches before this things over with I will personally make sure you bleed out." Natasha threatens. With as much force as she could muster, Ana opened her eyes be met with a bright light surrounding the assassins head. Except it didn't connect in her head that it was her best friend.
"Am I dead?" Ana groggily asks, her last moments of consciousness flashing before her eyes. "Where's Pietro? Is he safe? You didn't hurt him, did you Thor?" Ana's voice was hoarse from hours of not being used. It wasn't very loud either, she didn't have much energy.
