Pietro woke up from his coma a few days later. The first thing he asked for was Ana.

Ana.

No one was able to find her body, or the suit, for that matter. They had searched every inch of the rubble for her, every person Ana was close to was there. Except Wanda, she stayed back at the Avengers Tower waiting for her brother to wake so she could take him that New Avengers facility that she trained at with the new team.

Three days after being shot and losing Ana Pietro woke up. The doctors said he woke up so early because of his accelerated healing, and he should be out of the hospital in a few days if he promised to take it at a normal pace.

"Brother, you need to eat." Wanda tells her brother who still was forced to stay in the hospital bed. He had woken yesterday and refused to touch anything. Pietro didn't look up from Ana's painting Tony had brought him. It was of a sunset, and the paint strokes dances beautifully across the canvas.

"It's not fair." Pietro muttered, surprised his sister even heard him. "It's not fair that I am here and she can never make anymore art."

"Ana would not want you like this."

"Ana should be here. They can't even find her body." Pietro says, his voice cracking slightly. Wanda felt her heart drop to her stomach. The female twin set down the food she had been trying to feed him all morning and looked at him, tears brimming her eyes.

"You think just because she's gone means you can die on me too?" Wanda says at a normal volume, not wanting to disturb the other patients. "What if Ana lived, and you didn't?Would you want her to sit here, wasting away and refusing to eat?" Pietro paused before picking up the spoon, bringing it to his lips that so desperately wanted to taste Ana's again.

Tony took Ana's death the hardest, even harder than Pietro. He blamed himself, he thought if only he had worked on Dorothy's battery life a little more she would've been able to fly to safety.

He had spent almost his entire time since the battle at Sokovia looking for his sister.

All the Avengers and New Avengers walked around in a somber mood, Ana wasn't there to make jokes.

But everyone knew that if she was there, she would be with Wanda in Pietro's room at the hospital.

Everyone took shifts search through the rubble.

This time, Tony didn't throw a celebratory party. Instead he went to Ana's funeral. Instead of having fun with his friends, Tony grieved alone, locked away in his room at that Avengers Tower. The rest of the team was worried for him, they had to call Pepper in to talk some sense into him.

"Tony..." Pepper's soft voice filled that large room, searching for the only Stark left. She spotted him standing on the side of the room at one of his invisible screens. She let out a sigh of relief until she saw what he was working on.

"I've already searched three of the four quadrants of the lake and surrounding drop zone."

"Tony maybe you should take a break-"

"I have to find her, Pepper." Tony snapped, his voice full of raw and broken emotion. "If not for me, for Steve and Natasha and-and Clint and Thor. If Bruce was here he'd want her body back for an actual funeral, not burying a empty coffin. I gotta do it the twins, out of everyone on the team, Ana was the closest to them. Don't even get me started on how she felt for Pietro-"
