Will felt perpetually happy with himself. He had slowly begun to get to know the infamous Aurora Andrews over several phone calls back and forth whilst he was at work (he'd become so stealthy at hiding from his boss, he was practically a ninja).
He learnt her birthday is the 6th of May but her favourite Month is October because quote: "Halloween is my shit cupcake".
He also learnt she is currently at UCL studying Geography but taking courses outside of school in Film-Making which Will thought was stupidly hipstery but at the same time really cool. Also when asked why UCL she said her Granddad used to be a professor there in Geology and wanted to follow in footsteps even if she couldn't really remember him (cute am-i-rite?).
And finally he had learnt that she was indeed staying in the campus dorms about 5 minutes from the bakery which made him all kinds of giddy when he strolls (deliberately slowly but he would never admit that) passed them on the way to his apartment.
Rory needed to stop being so over dramatic. She had spoken to his guy on the phone way more than once, she is allowed to go into the freaking bakery and get herself a mudda-fluffing bagel. This had been a decision Rory had taken a good week to agree to go through with. She had always been amazed by the retro bakery on her arduous trek to uni and now knowing someone she could possibly even consider a friend working there it seemed silly not to go in and grab a fluffy polo shaped piece of bread stuffed with various meats and cream cheese.
So she went it.
She felt those jittery nerves go get on a first date and Rory had to remind herself she did not have a crush on Will. No. She just had a crush on food.
She gets to the front desk and orders her breakfast from a guy she knows is not Will (not that she knew what he looked like – just a gut feeling you know) and those elephants dancing an over-energetic jive in her stomach slow down to a smooth waltz or maybe a american smooth. Rory had to stop watching Strictly Come dancing with her Mum it was messing with her head. As she left the bakery with bagel in head a odd sense of disappointment settled inside her and once again she has to try and remind herself she has not got a crush on Will.
