10 Years Ago continued;

Payton walked back and forth in his private quarters. Fae had seen Eville capturing his half-sister and taking her back to Fernbrooke. Although she possessed no ability, he knew that Eville would stop at nothing to get him back on Earth. Payton paced, and mumbled angrily of solutions although he was unsure what to do. Eville already had his wife, which he as difficult as that was to overcome, he could at least relish in the fact Sarah was altered as a young girl. Now he had his sister. He stopped just in front of the desk in his office and put his hand to his chin. "Hmm.." he said out loud, just as he heard a footstep into the room. Elder Mekhi had interrupted his train of thought and he looked over at him, "What is it Mekhi?" He moved slowly over to a chair and allowed himself to join Payton. "I had heard about Eville," Payton moved around his desk and sat in the car opposite him. "But why would he go after your sister?" Payton adjusted himself in the chair, he slammed his fist on the table, "It's a damn ploy, that's why. He wants me to return so he can take another shot at me," Mekhi took a moment to think about his words, "Payton, we need to end this before it gets out of hand?" "Out of hand?" Payton snapped back, "Out of hand!? He has my wife, he has my sister,"  he hissed back at Mekhi through gritted teeth, "I cannot just stand by and let this happen any longer," "If you go back, you put us all at risk," "How do you expect me to go back? I can't teleport there-" He stopped mid-sentence, "That new guy, Caper... Casper..?" "Caspian?" Mekhi answered. Payton nodded, he stood up slowly, "He could go back," Mekhi sat back in his chair and entwined his fingers, "He won't go back, he looked petrified," Payton turned to him abruptly and snarled, "He may have no choice in the matter," Mekhi looked puzzled at Payton. He knew he was upset, and reasonably so, but he had never seen such antipathy from Payton before. Mekhi wasn't sure if anything he said would help. Payton walked over to the window, "I'll offer what he can't refuse," Payton smirked, which Mekhi could see in the reflection of the window seemed almost sinister. "What is that?" Mekhi hesitated to ask, nervous by the sight of Payton's plan. He turned back to Mekhi, he went to reply but he just smiled instead. Mekhi took it as a sign to leave as he didn't want to be involved in any sinister plan.  He always believed in the 'do onto others as you would have them do unto you' way of life. His intention was to comfort Payton but he realized this was not the guy he once looked up to. Walking back to the elevators, he even had the thought that perhaps returning to Earth was the only way to find peace again.

Eville walked back in through the second floor car park of Fernbrooke, following Ryder who was walking Payton's sister with his hands around the back of her neck like a stray dog. "Who are you people? Where have you taken me?" She squealed, but Ryder kept moving forward as if he didn't hear anything. He moved her down the far staircase of Fernbrooke, away from the main floor so she would not be recognized. Even though, no one knew who she was except the Elders. "Get in there," Ryder growled, throwing her to the floor of the isolation chamber. Eville walked in and gently tapped Ryder on the shoulder, to say good boy. He closed the door behind Eville as the woman scrambled along the floor. She hit hear upper back against the frame of the bed and looked up at Eville. She was shaking from being so scared, and he knelled down in front of her. She flinched as he approached her so closely. "Now, now, my dear. No need to be scared of me," "Wh-Why did you bring me here?" He reached out to touch her cheek, and she squinted her eyes in anticipation of pain. Eville grinned, "You are here to help me my sweet," She flinched but she pressed as far as she could into the bed. A part of Eville enjoyed the squirming, "Pandora dear, please do not fear me," Her eyes locked with his, and she dropped her guard, "I wish you no harm," He held out his hand and she felt disarmed by his charm. She reached out and he helped her to her feet. "Why did that big guy grab me by the neck?" He looked over his shoulder towards the door, "Ryder is strong, it wouldn't take much for him to hurt someone so.. fragile," Eville leaned over in a bow position and kissed her hand gently. He looked up and grinned, "I do apologize for his behavior," she couldn't help but have a flush to her cheeks and Eville dropped her hand as he stood up. "I am looking for your brother you see," She looked at him with confusion, "My brother? You mean... Payton? My older half-brother? I haven't seen him since our parents divorced when we were teenagers," Eville felt a little disheartened, but didn't let it show, "On the contrary my dear, even more of a reason to protect his baby sister," She scoffed and sat on the bed, but didn't anticipate it to be so hard at first and caught herself. "Honestly, I haven't seen him in years. I don't think he would even care... or notice," Eville smirked, "I'm sure he's aware of your capture by now," Eville closed his eyes, "Something tells me he knows, I can just feel it," Pandora looked up at Eville and was beginning to feel fear again. He folded his hands into one another as he slowly paced back and forth in the room. Feeling anxious, she felt the need to fill the silence, "How could he know?" Eville stopped and turned to face her, "Do you know about Payton's abilities?... or where we are?... or the fact he has been a leader of an Elder Council of humans with special abilities housing others in this very facility you are now being held in?" Her forehead tensed as she was confused by his words, "What do you mean special abilities?" Eville had to remind himself she was not like Payton. She was just a human. "Oh? He didn't tell you?" She shrugged her shoulders, "He's a mutant?" Eville couldn't help but let out a laugh and clapped his hands together with a beaming smile. He moved to sit next to her and she instinctively moved back slightly. Not so much to allow him room on the bed, but out of unease for her situation. It was hard to be calm when she was taken out of her apartment in the middle of the night. "Pandora.. Dear... sweet Pandora," Eville soothed, "You mustn't fear our kind," Eville reached out for her, "We are the good guys," he said with a smile that could only be described as, Eville.
