Based on the episode where the team was on the S5 E6 Chimera.

---------------

<Gibbs point of view>

The virus is airborne. We have all been infected by now, according to Ducky. A few hours left to live. Tony, Ziva, and McGee are showing signs, while Ducky and I are doing worse. We have blisters that itch and bleed, and the air is getting harder to breath in and out. Ducky is to close to death to even talk. He sits on the floor of the ship wheezing and gasping for breath.

I refuse to look weak in front of my team. I don't let the itching and the lack of oxygen get to me. But I can't help it.

I was pacing, against the teams will, and focusing on breathing. I eventually gave up and sat down against the wall. Sweat was dripping down the back of my neck and my face.

The computer starts ringing, Abby's is calling us.

"Are you guys ok?" She ask. She notices me in the back.

"We're fine Abs," I say back to her.

"Gibbs I know when you're lying to me," she yells.

"Abby calm down," McGee and Tony assure her.

"Calm down? Calm down! You are all dying and you want me to calm down!?!"

"Abby!!" I yell. They all fall silent and stare at me. "We will all be fine."

"Ok, I believe you Gibbs," Abby says on the brink of tears.

I don't want to hurt her, but I know what is going to happen. I don't want Abby to get scared, but in the condition I'm currently at, the odds aren't in my favor. The others on the other hand, can be treated, can be saved. If I can contact a chopper and can keep them alive long enough, there is hope.

"Please don't die," Abby says before hanging up.

"Can't make any promises," I mutter.

"What did you say boss," McGee ask.

"Nothing."

"You don't look to go Gibbs," Ziva says.

"I'm fine," I reply back a little wearily. Ducky is muttering in his sleep, if you can call it sleep. It was more like a delusional dream state.

Honestly, I don't feel to good either. My head aches, I itch, and my mind keeps getting foggy. I try to keep thinking, and it's hard. I have to move. I stand up.

"Boss?" I don't care who said it. I walk out of the door.

"Boss!" I keep walking. Something in my head keeps telling me to move. What they don't know is that when I walked out, I swiped McGee's phone.

I walk to the deck, while getting lost a few times. I pull out Tim's phone and try to get a signal. When I find one I dial a number.

"Sergeant Smith," the voice answers.

"Smith," I say, knowing he will recognize my voice.

"Gunny?"

"You seem shocked that it's me."

"Haven't seen ya in years," he laughs, "What do you need?"

"Maybe I just called for a chat," he laughs, "Actually I do need something."

"And that would be?"

"A chopper."

"For what?"

"The Chimera."

"I don't know if I can do that for ya. Chimera has been taken off of all of our flight list. Why do you need one there?"

"My team is on this ship, so am I. There has been an airborne virus released. They have a chance to survive it," I state simply.

"I'll see what I can do Gunny."

"Thank you."

"What about you," he ask me. He can obviously hear the pain in my voice as I get worse.

"I'll be fine." I hang up.

Suddenly my head starts to spin. I grab hold of one of the walls. I stager into the deck once again. About half way there I get lost. My head gets fuzzy. The phone buzzes. It's a text from Smith.

I think I got a chopper coming. Hold on Gunny.

I smile. They have a chance to get out alive.

"Gibbs," it's Ziva, "Gibbs where are you?" Her voice is urgent.

"Ziva," it's all I can to say it. I can't keep upright, the world is turning all around me. My breath is getting harsh, "Zi...Va..." I collapse. She runs towards me.

"Gibbs!" She rushes to my side, "Hold on Gibbs."

"Ziva..." My voice is fading, or I just can't hear my self anymore, "There is a chopper coming with a Sergeant Smith on it. He is going to get you and the others off the ship."

"What about you," she looks me in the eyes.

"I won't make it Zi." I knew I wouldn't. I couldn't focus anymore. My mind wandered from the chopper to the office... And then to Shannon and Kelly. I can see them again. McGee's phone rang again.

Ziva took it out and read, "On the way, five min tops."

"Go get the others. Leave me," it's my last words, I realize. She plants a small kiss on my head.

"Thank you for everything Gibbs," she says holding back tears. Next thing I know she is gone. I can't pull anymore air in my lungs without choking on it. I try one last time to suck a breath in, but I can't. I stop breathing completely. My vision gets fuzzy.

And then I see two people in front of a bright light. It's Shannon and Kelly. I get up with no trouble.

"We missed you daddy," Kelly smiles.

I kneel down next to her, "I missed you too."
