Bree's PoV
"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked Bailey over the phone
I raised my hands in surrender "I'm sorry if you think I'm asking that question too much. I just didn't want you to go."
Bailey had to go back home and I never actually realized how much I'd miss her. But she promised to be back real soon though.
"Alright fine I'll stop bothering you, I'll see you later, bye." I then hung up the call and went downstairs.
"Hey mother dearest." I said walking into the kitchen
My mother folded her arms and raised a brow "What do you want?"
I gasped "I don't want anything, I can't believe my own mother believes that I can't come down here and not say hello and show my appreciat.... Can you drop me to school?"
She rolled her eyes "It's always something."
I shrugged as she grabbed her keys from the draw "You're the one who wanted children."
She tried to act angry but couldn't help but smile "Yes I did and I don't regret any of you. Well Luke sometimes."
I laughed "So what you're saying is that you like me best?"
"I still have Bethany." She suggested
I snorted "Bethany please. I'm you're favourite aren't I?"
We both walked outside and entered the car "I don't have a favourite."
I rolled my eyes "Sure you don't."
"Oh I almost forgot, your father and I have something to tell you all after school." She said making her way to my school.
I perked up "Really? Anything I'm interested in?"
She grinned "This will float your boat."
"Excuse me?"
"You know? It's something cool and fresh, It's dope."
I shook my head "Never say that again."
"Fine I won't. Plus when you get your car in a couple of weeks you won't have to ride with your embarrassing mother."
"Aw it's not like that. I bet your news is gonna be rad, far out, ace." I said trying to think of slang words they used in the 70s and 80s.
My mum cringed "Yeah now you're embarrassing me."
I laughed "Now you know how nearly every teenager feels."
She rolled her eyes "Shut up."

"Hey princess."
I stopped putting things in my locker to look at the only person that calls me that. I nodded "Ryder."
He smirked "Bree."
I sighed "So um w-what do you... um."
I stopped my sentence as Ryder ran his fingers through his hair. Why have I never noticed how cute he looked doing that before?
I snapped out of my thoughts "What do you need?"
He shrugged "To talk."
I raised a brow "About what?"
"You and me."
I could feel my cheeks heating up. I mentally scowled at myself for letting that happen.
"You and me?"
He nodded "Yeah. You, me and Sofia."
I sighed "What about you, me and Sofia?"
