Bree's PoV
Situations.
Some situations are given to you to help write your destiny. Things happen for a reason and you've just got to let it.
Ryder kissed me last night, that was a situation I had to deal with and like the coward I am, I ran away from it instead of dealing with it head on.
That's why I'm sat up in bed at 3:27 am thinking how I could've changed the situation, that I could have made it better and done it differently. But the truth is that I can't. You can't change the past but you can help re-write your future, that's exactly what I plan to do.
I got out of bed and quietly opened my door. I poked my head around the corner to see if anybody was there.
When I saw the coast was clear I tip-toed into Ryder's room slowly closing the door behind me.
I looked up to Ryder's bed to see him sat up watching me. I literally felt like I was having a heart attack. "What are you doing?" I asked hand on my heart.
He chuckled deeply. "I could ask you the same thing."
I sighed. "I couldn't sleep."
"Neither could I." He said running a hand through his already messy, but cute looking hair.
"I have something to tell you." We both said at the same time.
"So do I." We chorused again.
I laughed. "Great minds think alike."
He leaned against the headboard and frowned.. "Bree, let's not beat around the bush, I think that we both know we want to talk about the kiss."
I nodded slightly coming over to sit on the edge of his bed. "Was it a mistake?"
His eyes widened "What? No of course not. I've realised that I like you . . . a lot for that matter."
I could help the smile that appeared on my face. "Well that's a relief because I kinda, maybe, like you too."
He arched a brow playfully. "Kinda? Maybe?"
I laughed. "Okay fine, I really like you."
Ryder smiled and nodded. "It's really nice to know you feel the same way."
I fiddled with my fingers nervously. "So what does this mean?"
Ryder got out of the bed and came to sit ever so close to me. I could feel his cool, minty breath fanning my cheek. "Bree?" He asked me quietly.
"Yeah?" I replied my tone matching his.
"You remember the time when I helped you skip school, the day you wanted to go see Sofia?" He asked.
I nodded slowly. "Yeah . . ?"
He grinned. "You said that you owed me a favour."
"Yeah and what would that be?" I asked a playful tone on my lips.
He smirked. "Kiss me."
Without a second thought I connected Ryder's lips with mine. Our lips moved in synch his hands wrapped themselves around my waist. I didn't know what to do with my hands so I reached for his hair and tangled my fingers in them.
At first the kiss was slow but I pulled at his hair making him kiss me more fast-paced. He pulled me onto his lap as we carried on the kiss. He sent little kisses against my jaw line, his warm soft lips against me. I groaned as I wanted him to connect his lips back to mine again. He smiled against my skin due to my impatience before kissing me again.
