Bree's PoV

Summer.

It's supposed to be the best time of the year. School has ended, it's all nice and sunny, plus you can have everyday to be with your friends and family.

But instead of doing that I'm sat in my bed wallowing in self pity.

Pathetic right?

But I really couldn't help it. I saw my boyfriend kissing another girl and I just couldn't bring myself to get up and put on a smile pretending like everything's okay because it's really not.

There was a knock on my door and I groaned. "Unless you're carrying a tub of ice cream you can get lost." I yelled.

"Is frosting okay?" Luke yelled at the other side of the door as I recognised the voice to be his.

I raised an eyebrow skeptically. "What flavour is it?"

He laughed slightly. "Chocolate."

I sighed and sat up more, resting my head against my headboard. "Come in."

Luke opened the door and handed me the tub of frosting along with a large spoon. He sat on the end of my bed and looked at me. "What happened?"

I shrugged as I devoured a spoon full of frosting. "I don't wanna talk about it."

He groaned. "The only person you want to talk to is Brec, I did try asking her but she gave me absolutely nothing."

Yesterday, after Brec came round I told her everything that happened. Right from the kiss at the Fairytale Ball, to Ryder and I becoming official and then to me seeing him with that scumbag.

"That means she's a good friend." I said shoving another spoonful of chocolate frosting into my mouth.

"Bree . . . " He started off but I raised a hand to stop him.

"Luke listen carefully, I ain't telling you nothing, now if you'll excuse me, I have a full tub of frosting that won't be eaten by itself. You know where the door is." I said eyeing him carefully.

He nodded and got up, walking out the door without saying another word.

I sighed, finally, peace at last.

I got shook gently but I still refused to move. "You think she's dead?"

Riley scoffed. "Sofia don't be silly she can't be dead, can she?"

I faint smile appeared on my lips as I heard somebody get slapped. "She isn't dead. Bree come on, get up." Brec said shaking me lightly.

I sighed. "What do you want?" I asked my eyes still closed.

"Well first I want you to open your eyes, it's creepy." Brec elaborated.

After many persistence, I gradually got up and looked at Amanda, Aspen, Brec, Hana, Harper, Megan, Riley, and Sofia who were all in my room.

Megan plopped herself onto the end of my bed. "We're not leaving until you're in a good mood and out of your slump."

Harper nodded. "Yeah, we can't have our bestie miserable."

I rolled my eyes and frowned. "Look, I just wanna be by myself."

Aspen sighed and sat next to me on the bed. "I once spent time being miserable because of Ryder. Okay yeah, it was my fault, but I spent days wishing I could have change what had happened. But I couldn't, so I decided to be happy with the other people I had in my life."
