Chapter 27: Hating the bad boys name: Wise Bailey day

Bree's PoV

I turned to Bailey and frowned. "I can't do it."

She rolled her eyes at me frightened figure. "Go talk to him he's your brother."

"Yeah but it's different now, too many things have happened."

She sighed "Fine then just forget about him. If you don't want to speak to him then don't, forget he ever existed."

My eyes widened "What? Are you crazy? I can't do that."

She smirked "Why's that Bree?"

"He's my brother, I'm gonna love him no matter what he does. I know he can be pretty stupid sometimes and I mean real stupid, but I don't know what I'd do without seeing his annoying little face everyday."

She pushed me towards the stairs "Then go tell him that."

I sighed and walked down the stairs.

"Hey." I smiled walking into the kitchen.

Luke looked up from his cereal and smiled "Hi."

He then went back to playing in his breakfast, not really eating it.

"I'm sorry." Luke and I said at the same time

He raised an eyebrow "Wait? Why are you saying sorry?"

I sighed "Maybe I did over react a little and thinking about it now I never really had a reason to be upset especially since now....." I caught myself before telling Luke about my crush.

"I'm sorry too... I know I should have told you about Harper and I."

I cringed at the words Harper and I.

"Just promise me one thing?" I asked Luke

"Anything." He said standing up

"Promise me that you'll never forget about me."

I realised yesterday that the reason I was so upset wasn't because he didn't tell me about what was happening or because Harper was one of my best friends.

I was jealous. Jealous that I may not be Luke's favourite person anymore like he's was mine.

Luke pulled me into a hug.

"I could never forget about you. I know you'd always be there annoying the hell out of me, how on earth am I supposed to forget about you?"

I slapped his arm "Ha ha very funny."

"And yeah I guess you never really did have a reason to be upset since you like Ryder."

My eyes widened "How did you......?"

Luke smirked "Bree you must think I'm stupid."

I nodded "Yeah I do. Just don't tell anyone okay?"

"Yeah fine and are we cool now?" He asked

I smiled "As ice."

Bailey shook her head "No Bree don't start."

"I'm sorry. I'm just excited I get to spend the rest of the weekend with my favourite cousin."

She laughed "I'm your only cousin."

"Exactly that's how you know there's no competition."

Suddenly Sofia bursted through my bedroom door.
