CHAPTER 29 - IT'S TIME
************************************************************************************************************
She looked at her expression, trying to work out what it said. Confusion, sorrow, anger, surprise? Olivia settled that it was a mix of all four as she broke the news to Avery who had frozen, like a snowman. The princess stared at Olivia, or the space between them and just breathed slowly, tears not swelling in her eyes.
"What?...How do you know?" Avery muttered in a croaky voice and Olivia let out a deep shaky breath, to explain but somebody else spoke before her.
"A fairy, doing work in your world, has informed us that the castle was bombarded and your father was killed, trying to protect your mother. Argon held her hostage, but killed her anyway..." Clarissa explained in a soothing voice. Avery just frowned and stared at Clarissa.
"My mother and father are dead?" Avery mumbled and Olivia slowly nodded. And that was what did it. Avery broke down suddenly and quickly, dropping herself to the floor. She sat on her knees and cried into her hands, as Olivia felt tears coming to her eyes. She crouched down and took her best friend into her arms. Avery cried for her parents, screaming for them and Olivia comforted her, but cried herself. She stroked her head and kissed her lightly but it didn't work.
Marigold placed a hand on Clarissa's shoulder and Troy looked over at Dylan, who had sorrow on his face. Guards and maids had gathered and paid their respects by removing their hats or praying for her.
"He killed Alex...He killed my parents...I'm going to kill him!" Avery cried and she jumped up quickly. She felt so much anger and she looked out of the window.
"Avery! No! He's too powerful! You're not ready!" Marigold shouted as Avery headed for the window.
"I have to! He's taken away everything that is important to me! He can't get away with us!" Avery cried and Olivia ran to her, grabbing Avery's hands.
"Avery please! I know you're upset, but going out there and getting yourself killed is not the answer!" Olivia assured her but Avery jerked her hands away.
"Why not? I have nothing! He took it all away from me! My freedom, my best friend, my parents, my kingdom, I have nothing to live for!" Avery cried and Olivia grabbed her friend's hands again.
"Yes you do. You've got me! And I promise you, I'm not going anywhere!" Olivia spoke with a soft voice but Avery started to cry again, pulling herself into Olivia's open arms. She cried into her best friend, for everything she'd lost.
The two friends stood over the window and Clarissa looked over at Olivia who nodded her head for everyone to leave them alone. Clarissa looked over at Dylan and Troy and pointed her hand to the door. They followed the queen and her sister out of the room and before closing the door behind them.

Troy waited for her, in her room. She would come eventually and then he could tell her. But was it a good time? Olivia had spent the night in Avery's room as she needed her. Troy let out a few deep breaths and paced himself up, down and around Olivia's bedroom. He looked at the door and shook his head. Maybe now wasn't a good time. Letting out a disappointed sigh, he headed for the window and he got ready to fly but the bedroom door opened and Olivia walked in, with a handkerchief in her hands. She noticed Troy and closed the door behind her.
