it settled in when jimin came home with the girl on his back that he realized how lonely she probably felt and wanted to make it up to her somehow.

he wasn't really one to buy gifts but, he knew just one thing any girl would want. a pet.

a month had passed already and all the time had been spent cooped up in the creme walls of the coffee smelling apartment.

jimin had gone out with taehyung, seokjin and jungkook to see what kind of pet they should go for.

first was taehyung, who talked to her directly. "mm."

"what, tae?" she was reading a book, hair disheveled and spread out all over his lap.

"do you like animals?" he didn't want to be too direct with it. "animals? of course!"

"are you a cat person, or a dog person?"

"both are cute... but i have to say dogs are better." she put down the book on the coffee table, sitting up with her metal frame glasses on top of her head. "why?"

"well, my sister wasn't too sure since she has a baby at home. i'll tell her to get a dog then. thanks." he rubbed at his eyes, pulling out his phone and texting the answer to the boys through a group chat.

"oh, if that's the case, teacup yorkies are good family dogs. personally, I would go for a chow chow or a husky." she smiled, pressing his cheeks together with her palms.

"you're so cute when you're worried about your sister."

"you're just cute in general."

"what's up with you guys calling me cute lately? not that i'm complaining..." she pouted, shoving her hands in his pockets.

"who else called you cute?" his face was worried. he wanted her all to himself.

"seokjin and jimin. to be honest, i have a feeling jungkook will be calling me that sooner or later." after shrugging, she put her glasses down, head down and picked her book back up from the table.

on the other side of downtown, seokjin and co. were at the shop, looking for either a husky or a chow chow like taehyung had texted them.

"hello, can i help you?" a happy teenager holding a puppy in his hands came over to the group. when he smiled, he practically radiated sunshine.

"yeah... um, do you have any huskies or chow chows?" the boy, hoseok, his name tag read, walked over towards a cardboard box in the back. after brining it back to the then strangers, they were ecstatic.

"its your lucky day. we found these on the streets yesterday and they're ready to be adopted." after pulling a couple of the puppy huskies out, he handed them over one by one.

"they're triplets, but you probably just want one, am i right?" hoseok smiled when neither one said anything. "alright, just choose one and i'll get it all ready for you to take home."

in the apartment, everything was going smoothly. she was wearing one of jimin's wool sweaters since she was freezing and taehyung had bought some macaroons to share from the cafe.

"tae! give me one! pleeeaaase~? just one?" she followed him around the house, socks softening her footfalls on the wooden ground. "mm... so good~. such a shame that someone can't have one. too bad."

"you're so mean! let's trade. one kiss for a macaroon." taehyung turned around and leaned down. "deal."

she squeezed her eyes as she pecked his lips quickly, a blush forming on her cheeks and across the bridge of her nose. holding her hands out, taehyung placed two of them on her hands.

"i only wanted one."

"its extra for being extra cute."

"oh... okay."
