she couldn't sleep either, seeing as it was six in the morning and she was already awake.

out of boredom, she turned the news on. at six forty five, the reporter's face changed before she started the next report.

'breaking news. an unidentified woman found on the shores of the han river. she was found at around five twenty, badly bruised and, unfortunately, dead. if you have any information on this woman, please call the number on the screen.'

taehyung walked in at the same time the last sentence was said. the picture of an vaguely familiar body appeared on the screen. the screen was blurred on the parts where the flesh had been torn away from the bones.

the face was clear, bruising and cuts evident. then it hit him like a freight train when he heard the silent gasp from the girl in front of him.

"oh my god... that's your mom."

"you- you have to call them. if i did it..."

taehyung couldn't argue with her, so instead, he pulled out his phone and carefully dialed the number on the paused screen.

"ye- yes. we're identifying the woman on the screen." taehyung was taken through a series of questions, asking her to help him with her information.

"what's my relationship with her? uh-uhm, ex-boyfriend of her daughter. yes. her last name and age? bong myunhee. she was thirty three years old."

with the guidance of that suicidal woman's daughter, taehyung had helped the detectives, hanging up when they released him.

after awhile, the news had paused again to reveal the same information to the public that taehyung had done with the detectives. but this time, the reporter added some things about myunhee's missing daughter, [][][] [][][][].

"we believe that this woman, bong myunhee committed suicide because of her missing sixteen year old daughter, [][][] [][][][]. the girl was last seen with this seventeen year old from the same highschool. this boy is also the suspect of a missing persona case. if you see either of these children, please report them to the following-"

"taehyung, we're screwed. we're royally screwed."

in a parallel universe, this wouldn't have happened.
