the boys had a long week, adopting all three puppies out of guilt and figuring out the best time to give them to her.

meanwhile, she was feeling nervous for the upcoming events. she had filled out an application for the cafe jimin works at and her birthday was coming. the only problem was that no one knew and she wanted to keep it a secret for as long as she could.

the truth had finally come out the day before her birthday.

everyone had gone over to the apartment, seokjin's famous kimchi ramen being served. "seokjinnie, can you pass me a slice of the pie?"

"mm. y'know, we never found out when your birthday is." everyone snuck into the conversation, mumbling agreements or giving slight nods. "oh. guess i never did say... um, you know what, that pie looks so good, let me just finish it first-"

"what are you hiding from us?" jungkook had held onto her arm, his other hand coming up to cradle her face.

"n-nothing. just don't want to talk about my birthday." jungkook sighed. "when's your birthday?"

she gulped. "to..."

"what?"

"i said tomorrow, alright!"

all of the boys secretly rejoiced at the chance to present the puppies to her. "now let me eat the pie!" she grabbed the plate roughly and began to shove chunks of pie down her throat.

that morning, taehyung had gone out to bye the cake while everyone else had gone to the mall to buy presents, excluding jimin, who was busy setting up the apartment for puppies and a party.

she was still fast asleep in jimin's bed, unlike usual, where she was the first one awake, making breakfast for herself. jimin was done before deciding to go to the cafe to get them breakfast.

"jimin, what did you make?" he was sitting on the counter eating the muffin that jackson had made for him. "here. i brought one for you, too."

the couple sat on the countertop together, no words being said except for the sound of muffin wrapper being squished and snacking lips.

"what's all this stuff for?" she picked up a streamer from the plastic bag on the coffee table. "and that?" there were balloons scattered all over the tiny living room.

"happy birthday. we're throwing you a small party, and we will be throwing you a party every year, so get used to it." she punched his arm before hugging him. "you didn't have to."

"we did. we're all thankful to you."

she scoffed, throwing her muffin wrapper away. "fine, but i have one small request."

after hearing the request, jimin smirked. today was going to be fun.

seokjin came over with neatly wrapped presents, jungkook was holding a box that kept moving and taehyung had a cake in his hands. jimin took the box from jungkook and the two made a getaway for the guest bedroom that had been set up for the huskies.

"hi seokjin."

"oh, you're still not ready, princess? come with me so you can get changed." taehyung walked over with to the counter with the cake and his own present in hand.

"seokjin! i am not wearing this in front of all you perverts!"

"no, it looks cute. wear it."

"ugh, okay. but if those perverts compliment me in any way, you're dead."

all three boys outside of the door snickered at the reaction to the dress they had chosen. when the door opened, however, mouths were left agape.

"you can't kill me if they aren't saying anything."

she was wearing a glittery gray crop top that ended at the top of her ribs with a bow, and a pair of leggings. she walked straight past them to the table with the cake on it.

"cake!" jimin whispered the request to the others before slicing the cake for the younger girl.

"alright, starting from the maknae, say one wish you want in the future."

"i want to be ironman because ironman is cool."

"let's go camping on the moon."

"another coworker because its lonely making coffee."

"a better flip phone than this one so i can play mario."

"i don't want anything else."

she blew out the candles. jungkook and jimin came back with the box from before.

'your first present of the night~' was written on the top with bold markers. curious by the lack of movement that there was when it first arrived, she opened it.

huskies, all fast asleep against the cardboard and each other, ribbons tied around their necks.

taehyung swore he had never heard a louder scream from anyone. she jumped up and down and picked one of them up.

"PUPPIES~!"

"name them."

"okay, okay... um, this one is mint because of the blue eyes. this one is hades because that's my favorite greek god. and this one is mochi because she's smol."

mint growled under the girl's smooth hands before licking the skin on his paw.
