Kidding, kidding! Let's get on with the actual story...

********************************************

Scorpio looked up from his painting to find that Cancer, one of the very few popular girls in Art Club was sitting across from him. He shifted in his seat, his heart thumping in his chest as he continued painting.

It would be several more hours before Scorpio finished, as he had no idea what he was painting, he never really had any idea what he would do for each project, his hands had minds of their own as he worked. His focus was turned to Cancer, her beautiful, gentle fingers, smudging charcoal on paper, her big brown eyes completely focused on the task in front of her.

Oh why, must everything have me telling myself you need eyes for art? Scorpio, thought, Music is art, but you don't need eyes to sing do you? With his brush mixing his paints and having its way at the canvas, Scorpio really started to look at Cancer, the way she brushed the straight brown hair out of her eyes, leaving smudges of charcoal on unblemished skin.

What was it that he was waiting for? She came everyday to Art Club, he should talk to her, they're both human beings. It's not like she's some super angel from one of his fandoms. Usually he would think very deeply about things like how in the visual arts, people could piece together things and find unifying meaning, just like a person's life, or how in writing you can't just pull random sentences together, because they all have an intricate way of connecting by strings like a spider web. But in the past few days, his head had been filled with Cancer.

The way she raised her paintbrush to dip it in acrylics seem so gentle, as if she was painting the portrait of someone she could no longer reach. Or the way she bit her peach colored lips when she couldn't figure out which paint to use, and how she would get paint in her hair when she wasn't paying attention.

Oh how he wished he could run his fingers through her silky brunette hair, his lips brush hers as gently as she stroked her paint brushed across her canvas, to hold those delicate hands in his own. No, he couldn't think about that, he was painting, if he did..... He looked at his canvas, it was a mix of warm colors, reds and yellows and oranges, all making a portrait of cancer focused on her work, the entire vibe from it feeling as though it was the embodiment of lovesickness. Which in fact it was, so Scorpio immediately turned his canvas so Cancer couldn't see it, and continued to paint.

He was intrigued now, no feelings had ever arisen such as these, the ones that made his chest pounds and his palms sweat. The kind that made the world seem much sharper, much clearer, like he had a pair of glasses after needing them all his life. His hand stopped for a moment, my goodness, he was in love with Cancer!

Anything Cancer did was beautiful, perfect, it didn't matter if she had make up or not (she never wore it), no matter if she was wearing jeans or sweat pants, she was just absolutely stunning, amazing in everything she did. It took Scorpio's breathe away every time he saw her.

By the time that Scorpio had stopped thinking he had realized that Cancer was walking over to him, and he nearly broke his canvas in half in a panicked notion that he could stop her from seeing the painting.

"It's okay, I already saw it," She smiled warmly, his heart already melting, "I've never quite learned your name."

"Scoprio," He replied, glad his voice didn't give way to his nerves.

She grinned, "Well, Scorpio-"

His heart thudded in his ears, she had just said his name, not anybody else's, his.

"I've been noticing you looking at me for a while now, so how about we go to a movie on Friday, I hear Finding Dory is out," She held out her hand, "So what do you say?"

"Yes!" Scoprio immediately bit his lip in embarrassment as Cancer laughed a little.

"Alright, it's a date then." She winked at him and returned to her charcoals and paint.

Scorpio nearly fainted then and there. He had a date with the absolute goddess, Cancer, could his day get any better?
