I gave you my trust,
I gave you my heart,
I let you weight me up,
But you only tore me apart.
You asked for my word,
I gave it again,
I thought as you said,
that I was your friend. Then you threw it against me,
Made me believe your lies,
You made me show sympathy,
But I realized;
Everything you said,
Everything you did,
It was your words against mine,
And I knew I would win.
Once upon a time,
In a city like mine,
A little girl listened to a guy's stupid lies,
She gave him her pity,
He offered her lies,
Still when she tried to warn him,
The truth deeply hides.
You thought I believed you,
You thought I didn't see,
But do you remember the truth you told me?
So I gave you the truth,
I gave you my word,
But you gave me nothing back,
You gave me dirt.
Still, you believe we're friends,
And I keep forgetting we're not.
