It was pizza night at the Lange-Paulson household. Which meant a lot of pizza, of course, wine, an old movie in the back ground, and lots of laughter from both Jessica and Sarah. Every pizza night they tried a new flavor just to shake things up a bit, tonight was pretty simple: pepperoni, bacon, extra cheese, and a buttery garlic crust.
"Oh man, Jess. I don't know if we can handle this one." Sarah laughed jokingly, taking the box of pizza, two bottles of wine, and two glasses back to their living room.
"Pepperoni, bacon, and cheese. Sounds like a dangerous combo to me..." Jessica laughed back.
"Its got extra cheese on it, thank you.." Sarah scoffed.
"Double the danger then."
Sarah sat the box, wine, and glasses down on the square coffee table that sat in the middle of the room.
"White or red?" Sarah asked, referring to the two bottles next to the box.
"I'll take red." Jessica said.
"Suit yourself."
Jessica raised an eyebrow.
"Excuse me? What's wrong with red wine Ms. Paulson?"
"Nothing. I'm not saying it's not a good choice, but I don't know if it's good with pizza." Sarah shrugged.
"Literally anything's good with pizza, Sarah. Especially alcohol."
"Yeah, but white is way better."
"Oh, just shut up and drink your goddamn wine." Jessica laughed out again.
From there the night was set. Hours and hours of laughter filled the living space, along with a few bottles of wine and one more pizza.
It was nice. Just the two of them. No one knew about them except for their families. There was no paparazzi hounding the two of them about being in a relationship. The cast and crew of AHS had their suspicions, but ultimately no one knew for certain. Even their agents didn't know. Miraculously, after a year, no one knew.
"Do you think, one day, that we'll come out to everyone?" Sarah asked.
"Of course we will Sar." Jessica said, grabbing the younger woman by the hand.
"You know it's been a year since we started this whole thing Jess."
"I know, tomorrow will be our one year anniversary." Jessica said smiling.
"You mean today?"
Jessica raised an eyebrow at Sarah.
"No, tomorrow.."
"Jess, it's 3:15 in the morning."
Jessica glanced over at the clock that hung on the wall.
"Holy shit! Is it really 3:15?"
"Yeah...Happy anniversary, babe." Sarah said with a huge grin on her face.
Smiling, Jessica got up from her side of the couch and walked over to straddle Sarah's legs. Sarah's arms wrapped around Jessica's waist, while Jessica's arms wrapped around Sarah's neck.
"I love you Sarah."
Jessica pulled the two of them in for a slow, passionate kiss.
"I love you too Jess."
The two sat with their foreheads touching for a moment before Jessica spoke.
"You know what?" Jessica said, her smile widening.
"What Jess?"
"I think today might be the day..."
Sarah's eyes widened.
"You mean...you wanna...?" Sarah stammered.
"I wanna tell 'em all, Sarah. And I think, that, Twitter, or what ever it is that you're on, should know first." Jessica said with a smile.
"Jess...we don't have to.." Sarah said, not wanting to pressure her lover.
"Oh, yes we do. I don't want to hide it anymore." Jessica stated matter-of-factly.
"What do you want me to say?"
Jessica thought for a moment, her smile somehow got even bigger.
"Why don't we show it instead of say it." Jessica said picking up Sarah's phone.
Sarah looked at her dumbfounded while Jessica opened the camera app.
"Kiss me." Jessica said holding up the phone.
Smiling, Sarah pulled Jessica close to her and kissed the older woman. When it ended, Jessica handed the phone back to Sarah.
