Ever After High Meets Monster High

Chapter 5: Caught!

Frankie's P.O.V.

"We can't give up on them now!" I shout at my tired ghoul friends. 

It's now early morning and we've been out all night searching. Venus followed the smell of the flower- we all hoped it would lead to Lagoona- but the scent was lost and we went back to looking without a plan.

"Frankie, we have to stop. Everyone's exhausted," Clawdeen gently says.

I turn to look at everyone. I slowly look over at all their weary faces and sigh.

"Everyone can have an hour rest. Me and Dracaulara are keeping guard," I tell my group.

We find a nice hill to sleep on and the ghouls lay down. Draculaura and I sit at the top, watching and planning.

"Frankie. Do we not have a plan?" Draculaura asks me.

"Not really. I don't know what I was thinking. I just feel bad for Lagoona and Twlya." I sadly say.

"Everyone does. They'll be found soon, but I think it's time to go back to Monster High now."

"I know but... I just can't give up on them."

Draculaura puts her hand on my shoulder.

"Then we'll keep looking." She looks at me. "But just a little longer."

"Thanks for understanding." I hug Draculaura.

"We ghouls have to stick together."

Humprey's P.O.V.

"Why am I here?!" I find myself sitting in a room with a really hard floor. I look over and see Apple, Lizzie, Rosabella and Blondie.

"Because someone has a plot against Ever After High and Monster High," Rosabella says.

"We're being held captive. And if we misbehave it's-" Apple starts.

"Off with our heads!" Lizzie shouts.

"Let's just say you want to behave our you'll be a scrambled egg." Apple said.

I cringe. I definitely don't want that to happen.

"Don't worry mate. We're going to get out of this." A weird fish girl says. "Names' Lagoona. I'm from Monster High, the other school she wants to take down," Lagoona says.

"Who's 'she?'" I ask.

Before Lagoona can answer someone else speaks. 

"Me." 

A human steps into the light in the centre of the room.

"I am Margret Noma. And you Humpry, aren't aware of the rules here. You must behave. You must obey my orders at all times, or it won't be a happy day for you." Margret sinkers. "You've been warned, Humprey Dumpty." 

And with that, Margret disappears.

Draculaura's P.O.V.

I bolt up. I must have fallen asleep when I got bored of watching everyone. I rub my eyes.

I look around and see Frankie snoring softly beside me. All of the other ghouls are still soundly sleeping. I glance around. It's mid-day. We're in the middle of nowhere. Well, there's an abandoned barn and that's about it. No roads- just a few hills, grass, grass, more grass and the old barn covered in rust. I decide to go check the barn out. 

I walk up to it and try to open the door. No luck. I start to walk around to see if there is another door at the back; when I notice a hole in the barn roof. 

Grinning, I transform into my bat form. I start to fly up and am about to enter when I hear a car screeching. I look up and suddenly see it... and the ghoul at the wheel. Headmistress Bloodgood.

Oh, bats! I'm going to be busted for sure. We're going to be busted for sure.

The other ghouls groggily stir as Headmistress Bloodgood gets out of her car and loudly slams her car door shut.

"I have been worried sick about you ghouls! You were on strict orders to stay in the school!" She takes a deep breath to steady herself before continuing. "I'm very disappointed in you ghouls. I have no choice but to put you all in detention!"

"But Headmistress-" 

"No, Clawdeen. No one gets a say. Just get in the car!" My headmistress shouts. 

All of my ghoul friends slowly obey. 

I'm too busy watching the ghouls to actually move. I just stare at them, while I flap my wings to keep myself suspended in the air. I fly back to the ground and transform back as I land. I start to walk over to them when I feel a hand on my shoulder. Someone- or something- then quickly jerks me into the barn.

Frankie's P.O.V.

I settle into my window seat in Headmistress Bloodgood's car; Clawdeen on my left. I stare out the window and a thought comes to me. I feel like something's missing. We didn't bring anything important with us. We have everyone. Suddenly it comes to me, the realization shocking through me like a lightning bolt.

"Where's Draculara?"
