Chapter 12: A nightmare come true

Darling's P.O.V.
I go inside the temple. It's dark. Suddenly a red light shoots across the room. I go towards it. It's a...
"Spinning Wheel!" I gasp.
My temptation goes away. "Why am I here? Why was I lead here?" I ask myself. Suddenly the temptation comes back. And it's drawing me towards the spindle.

Chase's P.O.V.
"Darling!" I scream out as I limp around the forest. I've defeated the Jabberwocky, but I sprained my ankle. And Darling's gone missing. "Darling!" I'm near the old Jabberwocky temple. Suddenly I see a flash of blue. It's Darling! She's going inside the temple. "Darling!" I scream as I run up to her. She ignores me. "Are you mad at me? Darling?!" She continues to walk away from me. I follow silently behind her as she walks threw the temple. Suddenly something cracks from behind me. I turn around with my sword out, but no ones there. I turn back around and Darling's gone! "Darling!" I run threw the temple and then I see her. "Darling! Thank goodness! I thought I lost you!" Again she ignores me. Then I see it. There's a spinning wheel in the middle of the room. Darling shoves me aside and walks to it. Before I can stop her she reaches her hand out to touch the spindle. Instantly after she turns to me.
"Chase." She runs to me, but stumbles a couple of times. "I'm sor-rr-y." She stutters.
She runs into my arms.
"Why?" I ask her.
"You know what comes next. I was curr-ss-ed. This is what has to happen to save every-one-one else." Darling suddenly collapses at my ankles. 
"Darling?!" I gasp in shock.
"Take this to the oth-er...." Darling trails off into a sleep.
Suddenly I realized. Darling had sacrificed herself for everyone else. This is what she had to do. A blue rays came from Darling and shot across wonderland.

I placed Darling in a coffin outside the Jabberwocky forest. I would come back to say goodbye when I had saved the others.

"What happened to Darling?!" I burst into Mrs. Cheshire's office.
"Meow. She just saved everyone else." Kitty's mom purred.
Now Kitty and Maddie were in the office as well.
"Mom? Who saved who?" Kitty turned to her mother.
"Darling saved your friends." The Cheshire Cat smiled.
"What happened to her!" I demand.
"Fine! She will repeat Sleeping Beauty's story. A 100 year sleep. Only a person with a true heart could do it. So she had to. She's saved all of wonderland. She'll sleep as a hero. Won't her parents be proud?"
I glared angrily at the Principal. "Why was that so important?"
"Not part of the deal. And I've answered enough questions. Now I suggest that you and your friends leave my school now."
"Mom? What is Chase talking about?" Kitty asked.
"Nothing sweetie. Now you and your friends should go continue your quest to save your school. I'll be cheering you on from here." The Chesire Cat lead her daughter, Maddie and Chase out of the office. "Bye kitten and good luck!" She slammed the door in their faces.
"She's planning something..." Kitty mumbled.

Brair's P.O.V.
"Uh. This dosen't make any sense." I slam my head down on my desk in frustration. This class makes no sense and is so confusing. Suddenly the floor disappears and me and everyone else is falling and falling. And suddenly we land outside the school, in front of the gates. Chase, Maddie and Kitty are already there. Chase stares at us sadly.
"I some unfortunate news." Chase leads us to a place called the Jabberwocky Forest. When we get closer I can see a glass coffin.
"Chase, why are we here?" Bunny asks.
"Yeah. Everyone knows this place is dangerous." Alister adds.
Chase walks right up to the coffin. And starts to cry. "She died a hero. To save everyone." He mumbles.
I walk closer to the coffin and see...
"Darling! What happened to her?!" I say in shock. "Is she-"
"No! She's no gone. She's just sleeping." Chase says.
"Oh Chase. I'm so sorry." Raven sadly says.
Maddie starts to cry. Tears drip down from my now red eyes.
"Why? Why her? What happened?" I stutter.
Chase looks up, his eyes now red too. "She pricked her finger on a spinning wheel."
I gasp. "My destiny?"
"The principal told us that to save all of you only a person with a true heart had to sacrifice herself. Darling was that person. She was cursed when we were walking by the Jabberwocky temple. She was somehow forced to prick her finger. And then she fell asleep and this light came out of her-" Chase was full on crying now.
"Why wasn't it me?" I sob. "It was my destiny. She shouldn't have had to suffer because of me."
"It's not your fault Brair. She did it for us." Raven patted my shoulder.

Raven's P.O.V.
"We are gathered here today to spellibrate Darling Charming. She risked her safety for ours. She risked herself for all of us. She's not gone. Just taking a rest. When she wakes up, and she will, she'll be fine. Now we should all say our thanks to her because it's her that set us free from Wonderland high." I lower my head.
Maddie pulls out a handkerchief and blows her nose with it. Everyone is sad and most are crying. Duchess stares awkwardly at the ground. Chase is crying a river.
Everyone just tried to except that fact, that Darling the hero is gone. A 100 year sleep. I can't help but feel it's my fault.

Duchess's P.O.V.
I've come to a realization today. That maybe I should except my destiny. Mine isn't bad compared to Brair's, Apple's and now Darling's. Maybe I should just learn to be happy with my destiny. After all a swan is better then an 100 year slumber.

Courtley's P.O.V.
This is the second time in my life I've felt sad. Okay third. Maybe I should have been nicer to Darling. This is the second time in my life I'm feeling regret. I wish there is something I can do to help.
"Wait! Isn't there always a cure for a curse! If we find it we could cure Darling!"
