The garden

When I met her
She put a single seed in the palm of my hand
And when we fell in love
We shared a garden and together we ran
We sang and the roses bloomed
We danced as the Daises loomed
We kissed and the Violet's grew
And together we made a beautiful life
Together tears of the past watered the weeds
And hopes of our future let sunshine down upon the leaves
And oh god I have never felt this way before
She taught me to love
She taught me much more

We had the sun to tend to our garden
We ... HAD... A, son.. To love and to cherish

And after we had buried our conjoined love in our garden
The love of my life wilted and shattered
She took the kitchen scissors
And cut each stem
She had many sleepless nights
Mindlessly pulling out petal by petal
I watched my hard work decay
I watched the love of my life die each day
She tied me up in the back
Her face stained with tears
And her voice had the rasp of a psychopath
But I refused to believe that could be her
Her eyes grew black with grief
Her hands they shook when they touched me
So I watched her sew together the flowers
Into two lovely crowns
She placed mine upon my head
And she tied hers around her neck
