Chapter 13:Until friday

It was 8:00 am on a Tuesday morning and I was back at school early for cheer practice. I loved cheer but today I wasn't with it. My head wasn't there. My mind kept wondering back to the toilet where I had eavesdropped on Trinity and Raven talking about Jaz.
I still didn't know what he was hiding from me but I was Finna find out. I had caught so much feeling for him and now I feel like it's all been a waste of time.

The bell for the end of registration had finally rung and was on my way to my first class, well strolling to my first class. I was thinking about everything. Clearly Jaz wasn't telling me something and it seemed to be pretty deep if Raven and Trinity hadn't told me either. The only person I could talk to was Megan. As my thoughts flooded I heard s voice, a familiar voice.

"Christina, babe wait up"

It was Jaz.

I really didn't want to talk to him so I disappeared into the girls toilet. I stood by the sink and looked at my reflection.

It was lunch and I had got told Christina was looking for me. I was kinda anxious because I was slyly trying to avoid her. She's my closest friend and all but after everything that's going on I didn't want to talk to her and say the wrong thing.

I was walking down the hall to my locker to get my car keys. I was going out for lunch to avoid Christina. This would have been a perfect chance for her to try and talk to me. Speak of the devil.

"Raven?!" She shouted down the hall. The tone in her voice seemed shaky.
I put on a fake smile and looked in her direction where she caught up to me.
"Hey Chris, I was just leaving to get lunch want to join me?"
"Actually yeah that would be great"she answered.
We sped to the car and got in.
"I heard you are looking for me?" I asked.
"Yeah. I need to talk to you but over lunch" she replied.
I nodded and started the car driving to five guys.

It was lunch and I was chilling with Jaz on the field. I had packed myself some left over Chinese for lunch and grubbed with Jaz.

"So Jaz, you know exactly what ima ask you to be honest."
She sighed and looked at me. "Can you have some faith in your best friend please, trust me she'll find out soon. That's if she even talks to me. Something is up with her."
"I do have faith, it's Raven that don't. You need to let her know before Raven does" I took a spoon full of my rice. "Wassup with Chris?"

She face me "I honestly don't know. She didn't speak to me at all yesterday and when I tried to catch up with her she ran away. You guys didn't tell her shit did you?"

I shook my head "nuh uh. But you ain't got long to tell her Jaz. When I tell you Raven is sick of lying I ain't lying. This honestly can't be kept up any longer.
You talking bout 'when the times right' bruh when will it be right?"

She looked down and I could tell in her face she was thinking hard. "Okay......Okay. I'll tell her. But give me until Friday, just so I could work out how to say it and when to say. I really want to do it properly." She asked.

I sighed and nodded before texting Raven the dead line.

We were sitting in five guys waiting for our meal. I had ordered a burger with all my favourite things inside whilst Raven got a hotdog.
