"What do you mean?" I asked, my smile vanishing from my face. "Why do I need to stay away?"
"Because." Dad said. "Your..developing." I shot him a funny look as perverted thoughts entered my mind. Dad sagged his shoulders in disappointment as he realized what he just said, and realized how I took it.
"Not like that." he said. "Your..maturing too fast. Your at your most vunerable stage right now, Justin. One wrong turn, and it's over. You can really hurt someone if they tick you off enough."
I shrugged. "I have a chilled personality Dad. Only the big things piss me off. If its something so small as, forgetting my birthday, so what? I'll have many more, I hope."
Dad shook his head. "Your not understanding." I rolled my eyes.
"I don't think your understanding, Dad." I said. "Your being way too overprotective about this." Dad groaned.
"Will you just listen to me?"
"No." I said. "I don't want to hear you right now."
"See?" Dad said. "I'm pissing you off! You see how easy it is?"
"Your pissing me off because your exagerating about this." I said, standing to my feet. "I'm gonna go see April."
"Your imprinting!" Dad yelled. "This isn't good for you!"
"Whatever." I said, and walked out of the room, slamming the door behind me. I heard a small crack-like sound coming from the door, and realized I'd pulled the door knob out of the door.
"See?" Dad yelled through the door.
"That happened before I met April!" I yelled as I dropped the door knob onto the floor, and walked down to the parking lot. It was around seven now, so I figured I'd surprise April with a visit.
What harm can that do?
I pulled up April's number in my phone for April's address. I found it on Facebook, and added it to her contacts.
I drove down the road, a wide smile spread across my face as I continued to repeat the same sentence in my head, over and over again..
What harm can that do?
{April}
I stood in my room, pacing back and forth. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach, giving me that nervous, queasy feeling. My heart was racing a mile a minute.
'He's coming here..tonight...' was all I could think at the moment. I didn't care if my phone was buzzing, telling me how many messages I was getting from friends who have also seen the post on Facebook. I swollowed a lump in my throat, and sucked in a deep, shaky breath.
'Just keep cool, and don't act like a dork.' I thought. The doorbell sounded downstairs, and the nervous feeling returned.
"She's right up there, go ahead." I heard Mom say. I heard the sound of his sneakers as he climbed the many stairs leading to my closed bedroom door. I stopped pacing, waiting for him to knock on my door.
"April?" he called through my door before placing a soft knock on my door. I walked over, and opened the door. He stood there, Jason Williams, my two year crush. A soft smile placed on his lips.
"Hey." he greeted.
"Come in." I said, moving over to the side so he could step into my room. After he did, I shut the door lightly. "What did you need to talk to me about?"
He looked around my room, examining the things on my desks. He smiled at my tiny snow globe collection that stood on the top of my desk.
"You collect?" he asked. I nodded, and walked over so I stood next to him. He took one down, and gave it a slight shake. The snow flurried around the tiny snowman that stood in the center.
