April

"Justin." I whisper. "I can't sleep." Justin turns over on his side, facing me. He slowly opens his eyes, and yawned. "Sorry." I apologize, and he shoots me a confused look.

"Why?" he asks.

"Waking you."

"Don't be." he says sleepily. "I was awake anyways." I roll my eyes, and Justin chuckles.

"I saw that."

I sigh, and scoot closer to Justin. He wraps a stong arm across my waist, and I rest my head on his warm chest. He begins to gently stroke my hair with his free hand, softly humming the tune to a song I was unfamiliar with.

"What are you humming?" I ask. Justin stops suddenly, and I frown. "Well don't stop." He chuckles lightly, and begins humming again.

After a few minutes of thinking about what Justin was humming, I sit up. "You do know, now that you won't tell me what your humming, I'm going to be up all night trying to think of what your humming." I can see a faint smile on Justin's face, and see the shadow of his body shaking.

He was silently laughing at me!

"It's not funny." I whine, then quickly cover my mouth. I forgot about Justin's dad sleeping over on the side. Justin sits up, and wraps an arm across my shoulders.

"I'm sorry babe." he says. "But your so cute when your annoyed." My heart leaps at the sound of him calling me babe, but the moments ruiened when he said the last thing.

"What?" I ask, confused now.

"Nothing." he says, smiling. "Ignore that last part." I roll my eyes again, and cross my arms across my chest, shivering. "Cold?"

"Yes." I say. "I didn't notice how cold it was."

"It was cause you were wrapped up in me." Justin says, pulling me into his lap. He wraps both arms around my cold body, and I rest my head back onto his chest.

"Much better." I say, smiling.

"Get some sleep." Justin says as he presses his lips to the top of my head. "We've got a lot of moving tomorrow."

"You mean you do." I correct as I gently close my eyes. "Your not allowing me to walk until my leg is better."

"True." Justin says. "But I have alot of moving tomorrow, and I can't sleep when you can't."

"Why's that?" I ask, slowly falling asleep.

"Because." Justin says. "I have to make sure my angel gets a good nights sleep." He kisses the top of my head once more, and begins humming the same tune as before.

Only this time, I instantly fall asleep.

The next morning, I woke up only to see I was alone in the center of a circle of trees. Unlike most people, 'Where was I?' wasn't what was running through my mind. 'Where's Justin?' was my first thought, and it was the only thought that was buzzing inside my head.

I stood to my feet, my wounded leg beginning to throb as I went  looking behind every bush, up every tree, and around every rock in sight, looking for Justin. I began to panic when I didn't find him, or his dad.

I was alone.

"Justin?!" I yell, still searching. I knew he would be able to hear. He has ears like a dog! If he couldn't hear me, then his dad surley would! "Justin!" I ran out of the small circle I was standing in, and began searching again.

"Ju-"

I was cut off by a warm hand pressing against my mouth. My eyes grew wide, and I struggled against the grip the person had on my waist as he pulled me back into the trees.

"April." his voice whispered. "Calm down. It's me, Justin."

I stopped struggling, and Justin's hand was removed from my mouth.

"Where the hell did you go?" I half-screamed, half-whispered. "What's going on?"

"We ran into some hunters." Justin whispered. "My dad scared them off, but he was struggling. They were far enough away that I could leave you sleeping while I helped out. I didn't know you'd wake up this early."

"What time is it?" I ask.

"About six-thirty." Justin replies. "Here." he passes me an apple. "I took it from one of the hunters. It fell out of his nap-sack when I tore it in half."

I took a small bite of the apple. "You could have at least left me a note or something. Traced your fingers in the dirt?"

Justin chuckled. "I did that, actually. You ran through it while you were searching for me, so you never saw it."

"What?" I ask, looking back towards the circle of trees.

"Don't go back out there." Justin says quickly. "My dad's chasing the hunters through here. He sent me back to get you."

I nod, and look back at Justin. "Sorry I overreacted."

Justin chuckles again. "It's okay. I would have done the same if it was vise-versa." He takes a few steps closer to me, wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me into him.

"Yea." I say. "But your a werewolf. You would be able to find me in a snap. I'm the pathetic human." Justin shakes his head.

"Your not pathetic." he corrects. "I think your perfect." I smile up at him, and he gently brings my face closer to his.

"Wait." I whisper, hearing something approaching us. "Your dad might come."

Justin frowns. "He's already here." He turns around, and I see his Dad walk up.

"Ready to move?" he asks.

"Thanks Dad." Justin mutteres as he scoops me into his arms. His dad gives us a confused look, but shrugs, and walks behind us.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"Wherever it's safe." Justin says. "Where no one can find us, and no one knows you."

I nod, and lean my head against Justin's shoulder. "Sounds good to me." Justin chuckles, and I smile.

"So." I begin. "You going to tell me that song you were humming last night?"

Justin chuckles louder. "Your still wondering about that."

"Yes!" I say. "Please tell me."

Justin smiles, and looks down at me. "I haven't decided a name for it, but it's a song I've been writing for a few days now. You know, on the nights I can't sleep?"

I nod my head, and smile. "Maybe one night, when we both can't sleep, you can sing me a few lyrics and I can help out with that name." Justin smiles wider, and nods his head.

"I'd love that."

-Unknown POV-

I stood on the highest branch on the tree I climbed earlier. So far, no sign of Justin, his dad, or April. I could see a few prints in the dirt a few miles away, and could tell they were close by. I could hear Justin laughing.

'God, I've always hated that laugh.' I thought as I climbed down from my tree, and followed the trail of footprints. Finally, the footprints stopped, and I came across prints that looked more like a massive dog's.

"No way.." I whispered to myself. I took a picture of the print on my phone, and sent it to Ms. Pattie, adding a quick message after sending:

Are these Justin's?

A few moments later, I get a reply back.

No..They are his fathers.

Wow crappy ending, I know :/ I was stumped on how to end the chapter, so thats how I ended it XDD Hope it wasn't all that crappy!
