April was fast asleep in my arms by the time we stop walking. My stomach growls, and I look at my dad.
"I'm starving." I say. "You don't think we can find a nearby flee market or something." Dad chuckles at me, and pats my shoulder.
"Just stay put." he orders. "I'll find some food."
"No squirrles!" I yell before he disappears behind the trees. "April hates them." Dad makes another chuckling sound, and vanishes. I gently set April down on the ground, her back leaning against a tree. I took a seat across from her, running my index finger in the dirt, creating various shapes and letters.
I began to trace the outline of a heart when I hear something off into the distance. I turn my head, and see a small rabbit leap out of a bush. It starred at me with black, beedy eyes, freezing when it noticed me sitting there.
I turn my back to it, not fasinated in watching a rabbit freeze with fear. My stomach growls, and I put my hand on my stomach.
"God I'm starving.." I say quietly. My attention goes back to the rabbit, that has yet to move from it's position. "Wonder what a rabbit tastes like..."
"Gross!" April yells, causing me to jump, and send the rabbit scurring back into the bush. I turn to April who had a look of pure discust on her face. "That is so nasty! Thats worse than that squirrel you tried to feed me!"
"I wasn't going to let you eat the rabbit." I say. "My dad's gone to go get something else."
April shakes her head. "Doesn't matter. Just the thought of you killing that innocent creature just..." She makes a gagging noise, and I frown. I've disappointed her, great.
"I'm sorry." I apologize, looking down at my many doodles in the dirt.
"It's okay." she says, sighing. "I just can't imagine someone eating a rabbit."
"You a vegetarian or something?" I ask, looking up at April.
"No." she says. "But I'd rather eat a cow than a rabbit, or a squirrel!" I shake my head, laughing at the rememberance of trying to get April to eat a squirrel last night. She never did. She stuck with starving that night, but I couldn't let her just not eat. I eventually got up late that night and went to find her a fish in the nearest stream.
April shivers, hugging her arms around her body. "Good greif, why is it freezing out here?"
"It's cold?" I ask, putting a hand into the air. "I don't feel any cold air."
"Your a werewolf." April says. "I'm sure if I threw an iceburg at you, it'd melt in three seconds flat, and you wouldn't feel even the slightest touch of cold."
I shrug. "Thats the plus side to being a werewolf." April rolls her eyes, and shivers.
"Mind sharing some of that heat?"
I open my arms wide, and she scoots closer to me, nestling her head in my chest. I wrap my arms around her body, hugging her close. She sighs, her body heat rising slightly.
"That feels great..."
We sat in that position for who knows how long, but I enjoyed every minute of it. We sat in silence most of the time, but a thought popped into my mind, and I broke the silence.
"April..I need to ask you something..." April lifts her head up to look at me, her dark green eyes boaring into mine.
"Shoot." she says, a small smile spread across her face.
"Are you...weirded out?" I ask. April shoots me a confused look.
"Weirded out?" she asks. "By what?"
"Me...being who I am..." I continue.
"No." she says. "I've gotten used to it by now. I actually think it's really cool." I felt a smile tug at my lips. 'Thats a good sign..' I think to myself.
"What about...you and me." I say, an odd feeling fluttering inside my stomach. This was a kind of touchy subject on me, and probably on April considering I killed someone who kissed her, and the fact that I told her she was my mate.
"What aboout us?" she asks.
"Us." I say. "You and me..together..."
April shrugs. "I mean...I like it, and you."
"I really like you." I say, and April giggles.
"I know." she says. "You've mated on me, remember?" I let out a small laugh, kind of embarrassed that she brought that up.
"Yeah.." I say. "Your not creeped out?"
"I was." she admits, and my heart drops. "But after a while, and after I finally figured out my feelings towards you, I actually liked it." She smiles at me.
"What are the feelings you feel about me?" I ask, curious.
April's face turns a shade of pink, and she looks away from me, clearly embarrassed. "There nothing special.." she says quietly. "Just the fact that I think I...um...that I-"
"Found a flee market!" Dad says, emerging from the tree's off to the side, in his hands he holds a bag that smelled of fresh fruit. "Plus a McDonalds!" He then pulls out a take-out bag from McDonald's, the aroma of hamburgers and chicken nuggest surrounding the area.
"Yum!" April says, wiggling out of my arms, and standing to her feet. "I'm starved!" She limps over to where Dad was laying out the food. I eventually stand as well, and walk over.
"Everything okay?" Dad asks as he hands me my chicken nuggets.
"Why is it that you ruien every moment April and I have?" I ask quietly so April doesn't overhear. "This was a pretty big moment! You couldn't have waited just a few more minutes before entering with the food?"
Dad chuckles. "I'll remember that next time I see you two wrapped up in each others arms." He elbows my stomach, and I walk away to sit next to April.

I watch as they all sit to eat their meals. Sitting high up in another tree, my stomach growls as I smell the delicious food they were eating.
I could smell the flea market that was only a few miles away from this spot, along with a small town with fast-food resturaunts. I could just jump down from this tree, and get some food, and be back in less than ten minutes.
Knowing, however, that if I made any sudden movements, Justin or his father would overhear me, and one would go searching. I can't blow my cover yet. I need to wait until just the right moment before springing out, and attacking.
The moment when Justin's alone.
Ya'll are gonna flip (I hope) about who the mystery person is who is gonna kill Justin. WOOPS! Spoiler alert! (Or is it?) Only a few more chapters left! Stay tunedd ;)
