{April}

Am I hearing him correctly? I have the tendency to mess up words. It's because I listen to my IPod a little too much, and most of the time too loud. Not my fault, sometimes I don't feel like listening to anyone.

"Your, a what?" I asked, adding alittle laughter. He's obviously joking, right? This isn't a Twilight book. It's not like there are sparkling vampires, right? Or some cult of vampires set on taking over the world.

Right?

"I'm a werewolf." Justin repeated. "And you are my mate."

Ahhh, there's the word that creeped my out the most. 'mate' What on earth is that supposed to mean? He's soulfully intitled to me? Am I his new prisoner because he can never let me go? Is this why he can't take me back, because I'm his girl?

What is this? King Kong?

"What does that mean?" I asked. "I'm your mate?"

Justin shrugged. "I'm still new to the whole idea. My dad, over there"- he pointed to the sleeping ball of fur- "is still trying to teach me the basic crap about being a werewolf."

"And another thing." I continued, still grately confused. "What does that mean? You can turn into a mutt?" Justin flintched at the word, offended.

"Wolf." he corrected.

"Is this a Twilight moment?" I asked. "Are there vampires too? How about unicorns? Mermaids?" I could feel myself getting angry. This is so a trick, he's just too air headed to admit that he's got a crush on me, and when he saw Jason kiss me he was jealous.

"No." Justin replied. "At least, I think not."

"Are you high?"

"What?" Justin was once again, offended by my words.

"Are you high?" I repeated. "Have you sniffed too much glue? Maybe smoked too much crack before you came here? Had one too many beers?"

"April." Justin said. "I'm not high, or drunk."

"Are you positive?" I asked. "Cause from what I'm hearing, I think you belong in a mental hospital. You are not a werewolf."

"Yes, I am." Justin corrected. "I know I am, it would only explain the reason for me attacking Jason. I'm not the jealous type, April."

"From what I've seen you are." I said, crossing my arms across my chest. "If your a werewolf, then prove it. Transform into a wolf."

Justin mumbled something, looking down at the ground.

"What was that?" I asked, cuffing my ear with my hand. "Didn't catch it."

"I don't know how." Justin said, now pissed. He stood up from his squating position. As he walked away from me, I busted out laughing.

"Thats funny!" I said. "Because if you are a 'werewolf' then you'd be able to transform into a wolf." I stood from my spot, and leaned against the wall of the cave.

"Well, when I figure out how, I'll show you." Justin said, not facing me.

"When will that be?" I asked. "When I'm on my death bed, and I've gone crazy?" Justin's hands clamped into fists, and shook slightly. "Awww, am I making the poor puppy upset?" I teased.

"Stop that." Justin cut. "It's not funny, and it's only pissing me off more April." I shrugged, not really caring if I was pissing him off. He's pissing me off with his stupid make believe stories.

Werewolf my ass.

Something growled besides me and I jumped, frightened. The wolf-bear-thing that Justin claimed was his dad slowly walked towards me, baring it's huge teeth, and growling at me. I slowly started inching towards Justin.
