"Ciel, help me!" She cried, kicking the masked man in the face.
"Lizzy!" I yelled. Sebastian pulled me away from danger and Elizabeth held her hand out to me.
Our fingertips touched but soon fear filled her eyes once Sebastian pulled me away. She opened her mouth to speak but the man kicked her ribs.
Tears filled her eyes and she gasped. I felt anger and for once.. Sadness to see her suffer like this.
I manged to escape Sebastian's grip and I ran towards her. I grabbed her hand, pulling her away from the floor and for long while, we ran. Ran until the masked man grabbed her.
He had a knife at her throat.
She struggled to get out of his grip and she fell to the floor.
Instantly, I helped her up.
We ran again. We came to a stop to catch our breath after who knows how long.
Suddenly, she lunged toward me. And I assumed it was for a hug. I thought she had been relived we got away. But instead she screamed out once I was in her arms.
I looked and saw her leg. It was penetrated by some sort of arrow. "Run.." Elizabeth whispered to me, clinging onto my shirt. "Have Sebastian come back to me when you're safe."
"I won't leave you." I responded. A smile tugged at her lips.
She looked behind me then kissed me deeply. I held onto her and I only drew back when I felt her tears fall onto my face.
"Lizzy-" I didn't even finish my sentence before Sebastian picked me up, snatching me away from her.
Elizabeth fell to the floor without me to balance her. I now noticed why she was crying.
She kissed me when she saw Sebastian coming. But I don't care about my safety. With out her there is no me.
The masked man came and scooped her up. A scream left her throat and I reached my hand out to her.
"No! Go, Ciel! Go!" She refused, tears falling onto her cheeks, still struggling to free herself as the man continued to walk away.
"No, Lizzy!.. I love you!" I called out, feeling vulnerable for the first time since I was a child.
"I love-" Her voice was cut off by the man covering her mouth with a hand. Elizabeth's eyes went wide and I attempted to pull away from Sebastian but he turned me away from her direction.
"She can take care of herself." Sebastian assured me as she was being carried back to the carriage.
"They're twice her size and she's outnumbered!" I argued, struggling to free myself.
"You bastard! Put me down!" I screamed. He kept walking, taking me to safety. I punched him several times on the face but he refused to let me go.
"They're demon hunters, it's my job to save you." He answered. Finally, he set me down. "Not her."
I lunged forward to go back to the carriage. I felt my blood boil and my heart race as a million horrible thoughts flooded my mind. What are they doing to her?
Sebastian pulled me back. I slapped him. "Go and save her this instant. That is an order!"
I heard her screams continue. The sound of them made me want to wrip my hair out. "Ciel..! Help me!" I heard my wife cry out again. "Please!"
It felt like a punch in the stomach at the sound of that. She was telling me to run and now she's calling out for me? What awful and things are they doing to her?
