I laid on the blanket tanning, enjoying the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. It was a pretty sunny day in LA, 92 degrees. I went on my phone, scrolling through Instagram. I then got a text from someone. Shawn!! I couldn't help but let out a squeal. I haven't seen or talked to Shawn over 5 months because of his tour and shit. We used to be best friends as little kids. The text read:
S: Hey bae! Sorry I haven't reached you in so long :(
L: Nah it's Gucci fam bam. Where ya at on tour rn?
S: Take a guess ;)
I then felt a tap on my shoulder. I shrugged them off.
"Go away I'm texting someone." I said without looking up.
"Uh alright I guess I'll leave you to texting." Holy shit. It was Shawn.
"SHAWNNNN!!!" I yelled getting up as fast as I could, wrapping him in a bear hug. He chuckled.
"Nice seeing you too Luna."
"Holy geez. I've missed you so goddamn much. It's so different without you." I said, barely a whisper. I then let go about 20 seconds later and took a good look at him.
"Damn, you look a little different." I run my fingers through his soft brown hair. A huge smile appeared on his lips. I noticed a tattoo on his right arm as well. I softly took his arm and examined it. It was a guitar, and the neck of the guitar was Toronto. Wow.
Shawn softly laughed at my curiosity."Hey Shawn!" Colin said jogging up to us. Nathan followed from behind him.
"Hey! Long time no see." Shawn said ruffling up Colin's hair. My eyes locked on Nathan, who was eyeing Shawn up and down. How rude.
"Hey Nathan." Shawn said awkwardly waving. They were never close friends but, still friends I guess. Nathan just nodded.
"We'll leave you two to catch up." Colin said running off."What's up with Nathan?" Shawn questioned, a look on confusion flooded his face.
"Uh n-nothing." I said quickly.
"What's wrong Bean?" Shawn asked.
"Wanna go look at the shops?" I tried changing the subject but that didn't help. He shook this head.
"What's going on between the two of you?"
I sighed giving in. "We may have kissed, and I don't know. He's being really distant."
"Wait... you kissed? On the lips?"
"Yeah." I nodded eyes locked on the sand.
"Was it your first?" I nodded again.
"Oh my gosh Luna, why didn't you tell me this?" He asked lifting up my chins so he could see my eyes.
I shrugged. "I don't know it was a big deal, you know?"
"Well I'm happy for you. So do you two have a thing now? Are you dating?" His Canadian accent was really cute.
"No we're not dating. And I don't know. I feel something when he touches me."
